I phoned for help over some furniture, 162/8821, after a 5 min circulation of your system, put through to some one then put back & I spoke to a helpful Lizzie. She checked with an advisor who suggested I was put through to ‘furniture’. As you “do value my custom” I hung on for over 10 mins as the alternative was to “ring back” & go through your circulatory system again!!! I had asked for a direct line but was told “an internal line”. PLEASE!! All I want is item 162/8821 to be a left hand seat & not right hand as in the catalogue. If Argos can’t do this can I go to the manufacturers?? Cheesed off customer not feeling ‘valued’.

I bought a fridge on the 3rd of November it didn’t arrive and I waited in all day as they kept in texting me telling they where on there way. I actually had to phone them several times on premium numbers iff my mobile as I’ve just moved house, they told me ( oh we thought you signed for it and received your washing machine) I’ve just received my fridge today after waiting all day again. I also bought a 48 inch free view Tv witch I also received on the 3rd of November, but to my surprise that didn’t work at all after spending all day Sunday and Monday and Tuesday I final get through someone who promise me to get the to picked up and a new one sent out to me before 3 o clock I wait till 5.30 no tv no phone call no nothing. It’s now the 10 th of November and I’m still sat here with a broken tv and no one had called me back to tell me where my tv is. I’ve been again all day 40 mins waiting for someone to pick up the phone!! When I did final get through to someone he told me he would chase it and find out what’s going on, I’m still waiting to hear back from Luke. In the mean while I receive an email telling me what a great fast delivery service that they offer!!! I find Argos a terrible terrible company who don’t seem to know what’s going on. I won’t ever buy anything from them it’s very very poor costumer service. I wil be taking this futher and I will be seaking more than £30 voucher as I think my mobile bill will be well over a £100 just listening to that awful music. I would advice anybody thinking of shopping at Argos is to shop around and spend your well earn money, as they clearly don’t care about people how work extremely hard they don’t care about. Very very poor service.

I ordered a tv on black Friday delivery was suppose to come on Saturday I called up home enquiry number was on hold for over an hour no answer same happened Sunday and Monday. So on Monday called the head office spoke to Sonia Pixtone who informed me that I will be getting the tv today which I did late evening but returned it and was told I will get a refund which I still have not received and I asked for some gift vouchers for my trouble which she informed me she will call on tuesday to discuss have had no call as of yet and it is Thursday. I called her today but goes voicemail. The customer service is rubbish very disappointed with the service spent over 3 hours dealing with this. I will never recommend anyone to order anything from Argos for home delivery as it is not reliable does not come on time and you do not get a curtsey call to say your deliver will be 3 days late. Sonia Pixtone give me my refund at least.

I bought a tablet lenova and tablet cover 27th November, and when I oppened the box I noticed there was no cover on the machine but carried on to use it, unfortunatley I could not get a reception by then I thought the battery could be flat so proceeded to pu the small plug into the socket. The plug would not go sowe decided to return the product as there was a fault with our purchase.
The mangeress in Minehead refused to change it even though she too more than 5 minutes to force the plug into the tablet.
I phoned up and spoke to someone who would put me through to the Directors office but the person was not available so she said we would get a phone call back in the next hour. I am still waiting and have phonedseveral numbers and still have got nowherte. my phone number is 01643 841285.
I als have been waithing over twenty mintutes being told i am next in the que, this has happened several time and I am now concerned about my phonebill.

I ordered a washing machine and my mother ordered a bed . They were due to be delivered today between 12 – 6 . I received a text this morning g stating there could be a delay due to adverse weather conditions . By 1415 I had not heard anything gso I contacted your customer service department where I spoke to one of your employees . He informed me they were not going to be delivered today due to bad weather conditions . He could not give me a alternative delivery date as he explained ethe computer system had not been updated . I was informed to wait u til they got in touch or ring tomorrow. When I terminated the call I remembered I had also purchased a sofa to be delivered on the 17th December . I rang back and spoke to another member of your staff who was extremely helpful . She informed me the sofa would definitely be delivered on the 17th December and apologised about the other goods not coming out today . she then checked the system and informed me the the next available date for delivery of the bed and washing machine was the 22nd December . Although this is not ideal as firstly I have taken a day off work and secondly my brother moved into his new flat today believing his bed was going to be delivered ! Never the less I was planning on cancelling the three orders we have made , however your second employee was so helpful I decided to continue with my order . The name of this employee was Julie Faning. I felt it necessary to bring this to your attention as she should be recognised for her good work as I am sure they will have to deal with s lot of irate customers at the moment and I believe her fab attitude and manner will no doubt save a lot of customers from cancelling their orders !

I bought a tumble dryer on Sunday 6th December paid £8-95 for Delivery on Wednesday 9th December, it didn’t turn up so I had to make a call to find out where it was, I was told the driver had run out of time which I understand but this does not stop someone calling me to let me know. I rang again Thursday 10th and was told they would call me to arrange delivery. Today is Friday 11 th I called again spoke to Michael and told him I wanted to cancel order and get a refund, he was putting me through to someone else then I got cut off. I called back stayed in a queue for about 10 minutes and got cut off again. What an appalling service. My telephone numbers are landline 01905 350060 or mobile 07840862991. Can someone please help.

After waiting for an item from your torquay branch for 30 mins and asking the manageress that, even though our number was called 20 mins prior our item is not here, what’s happend? To them get a reply of “theres nothing I can do, so like it or lump it”
This is not what I call customer service and refuse to be spoken to in that manner. So as a result we will no longer use your stores again, we have seen better costomer service in mc donalds and they’re mainly kids that work there

I am very disappointed, I tried to order a ring 230/1831 and from my local store 481 in Kings Lynn and they said it wasn’t available in my size, S or P. The next day I went to another store in Kings Lynn 4177 and wasn’t available in any other stores in the area, I asked if it was possible to order it in, I was told no and that I have to keep going to the store every day to see if they have it in. I don’t have time to keep going to the store every day to get told no it’s not there, it should be available to order it in so I can go and pick it up in any of the stores in my area, but I was told that’s not possible so how do I get the ring in the size I wanted it in, never. This is very poor sales and a will be making a bigger complaint about it and that means if I have to go to the press then I will. Stores in my area are Kings Lynn the ones I have mentioned above, Wisbech 12, Dereham 4277, Thetford 263, Bury St Edmunds 540, Ely 301 or any others in my area. I am very disappointed.

on Saturday 16th January I visisted the Brooklands, Surrey Argos shop. I was served by Jason a new member of staff. Jason was polite, extremely knowledgeable about the TomTom which I bought, and altogether deserves a commendation. Jason was polite and explained the product to me in such a way that I not only bought the TomTom but also several accessories. I will seek this young man out whenever I wish to buy from Argos in the Futue.

I recently purchased 2 bedside cabinets 496/8382. Both came with no drawer handles. I have rang customer helpline 5 times for them to be sent. I had a delivery lorry turn up to take them back which I never asked. HELP how hard can it be to send handles. This situation has left me stressed as I have given my old bedroom furniture away and have no where to put things. Hope to have a speedy reply and some sort of compensation

    26th Feb 2016.
    Dear Sir or Madam,

My name is Mrs Smith, On Thursday, 25th Feb 2016, I pop into Argos in Kilburn. First I order JML Go Chief that was on 15/5/2015, which last me for 6 months before it break down. The second one order was Halogen Oven, that brought was on 30/12/2015 that last me for just two weeks. The third one I brought was intellichef oven on 6/01/2016, that last me for little over one month. I insurance all of them, I when back into Argos store asking back for a refund as none of these ovens last. So for me it is better to not order another as i know it won’t last! I have no cooker, so i used this all the time. Am know that i will be back with the break down oven next month. Was told by Lizo,( how rude is he?) Never wanted to listen, to wa what i have to say. I can only get back a gift card, I said that did not buy any of the ovens with a gift card. So why should I take it, why not my money back. Cut a long problem short, I called the police, was told to go to Trading standards. I went back into the store, Lizo refuse to give me my refund and another oven, which I don’t really want. So he call the police, he then g give me another oven and said “I must never come back into his Argos store again; I would like a refund of £49, 99? i would like my money back, so then i will never have to go back into Argos stores.

Can you please arrange for me to go to another Argos store for me to hand back in the Intel chef oven? let them know that i will be turning up. If possible can I go to Argos store in Finchley? Can you please drop me an email, to let me know.

I have been trying to get through to pay a “buy now pay later” account but have been unable to get through. The message is saying there could be a delay of over 40 minutes which is absolutely ridiculous. Also, there is no provision to make payment of one of these “buy now pay later” accounts electronically. I was previously told by an adviser that if a payment was mis-allocated any interest charged at a DAILY rate would be refunded. I wonder how this would be dealt with seeing as you are unreachable on the phone.

I was served by Steven at yr metro store. Firstly he showed me the options of all yr tvs. Advising to read reviews and was so helpful. Too big for me to carry he tried to organise delivery but byker warehouse had none of this model left. I was at work the next day so he offered to deliver it on his way home free of charge!!! And he did i couldnt believe it not only was he polite helpful but kind on top of that. I wouldn’t have bought the tv if it wasn’t for his customer service. And I believe too many managers in this industry receive the bonus/praise for the extra mile the front line staff have gone. Honestly I told everyone at work the next day they all agreed he needs to be recognised for being the asset to yr company that he is

We purchased a bed and mattress from Argos. Delivery was supposed to be the next day. I called to track the delivery to only find out my order was not even processed, yet our money was taken and we will only receive our goods in 2 weeks. They say it’s their system error. The staff have a don’t give a damn attitude and there is no penalty for failure. Argos clearly should rather give clients rolls of toilet paper and called them receipts because what you have in writing has no importance on them delivering as promised and as stated on receipt. They don’t seem to know how their systems work and seem to be practicing in customers causing them inconvenience, time and cost. I have spent over a half an hour on my cellphone on my costs to have no solution. Definitely first and last experience with this company.

Argos, your customer service is a FFFFFnnn disgrace,i have spent in the region £40 to have your cock up sorted out by your customer service staff
in phone calls, the cock up was £3.95 on my statement which should not have been there in the first place, but was due to your cock up.
But what i am now going to do is have an action raised in a Scottish Sheriff Court to claim the cost of calls to your disgraceful customer service number,
also i am going talk to the BBC watch dog production team, and hand over the
cocked up statement sent to me,as proof of your cock up,to highlight your
    disgraceful customer service.
All i would advise is to customers is to go on public media and highlight your
disgust with Argos, and boycot them by not bying from them, and buy from other sources, use the internet,by naming and shaming Argos that is the way to get them to get there act together,if they do not then they will lose the trust
and confidence of there customers, vote with your feet boycot them go else
where to get what you want, also contact the companies direct and place an order,by cutting out Argos you can also save money

I would suggest to all who have or had a complaint against Argos to contact the BBC Watch Dog Production at TV centre and let them know the know about the problems you having with Argos, give them details what you have done to get things resolved Argos, keep times and dates you contacted Argos,
and keep record of you conversation, but a even better way is record the conversation, and let them know that you are recording the conversation as
they record all there calls,so you can record in reciprocation legally,as if thing have to go into court to be resolved, also if you have purchased using your card then you have protection under the credit act, also under the sale of goods act,do not let them fob you of,the law is on your side, one other thing is you can vote your disgust by not buying from them, buy direct from
the manufacturing company on line, that cuts out bad companies like Argos
also you might save some cash by doing so,because you are cutting out the middleman,as that is all Argos is the middleman, and not a very good one at that.

Of a certain age mobility health disability problems .No duty of care bullying by almost automatic system no discretion no cheques Had to purchase £1500 goods in store with cash as card had been lost/ stolen .
15 items not delivered on day & time inspire of someone [ never there since] saying would communicate .Then sent a legal letter after Duty Manager directed by Customer Services refused to resolve in Stroud ,.CAB only dealt with Cirencester where had similar problem with duty manager Customer Services pretending don’t understand & not responsible for yodel it employs ,as on remit not to.
MOVING HOME employed handyman 2x £150 in Stroud as there has been a Breach Of Contract ,non Duty of Care despite 100 of verbal & written Resolver COMMUNICATIONS & agreements because using franchising out to delivery/courier companies not following agreed procedure to deliver between certain times & get a signature for over 15 items they left on street having got signature for one item day before after confirming verbally would give me notice on second attempt day after.
They have now sent some money just above £245 in full & final settlement yet saw yesterday one of units has a sliding door missing & holes in top of another door & there were damages to other items because of difficulty couldn’t afford to pay handyman again.as not yet living there & can only access upstairs infrequently have taken money as only related to CAB simplistic letter .But still feel this is not the correct compensation. My time alone would amount to £1000s .My heart attack dying 3x came after similar problems re taking to car in London over 12 yrs ago.

What do I do now as Cab Cirencester home not sold yet ,refusing to assist further but misinterpreted when saw them when mounds of paperwork in a few minutes .Taking sides.

Often when sending issues to their communication you find sending to no reply .This appears to be DELIBERATE ripping off.

Your e mail offering me the chance to win £500 is misleading. If you want people to join the play and win scheme please be honest about it as the way you entice customers is doubtful verging on illegal. If I find I have been charged for any of your text regarding this e mail I will take action against you. I am going to report this to trading standards on Monday.

Hi, I purchased fireplace called Adam Southwold (415 /3812) suite 16 months ago, it is not working correctly in the respect that it is only expelling cold air instead of hot. Reported this to my local argos store and was informed that because the product is over 12 months old , I needed to obtain a independent report from a qualified electrician before any further action would be taken. This seems harsh practice as I brought this item in good faith and I expect this product to last longer than 16 months. It is a costly process if customers are required to purchase a replacement frequently. I would appreciate if you could give me any further advice

Rang driver who informs myself will be no delivery as he was involved in accident. Firstly why didn’t anybody inform myself. Secondly had to sent my electrician away as my delivery was not going to happen that day all cost down to my goodself plus a wasted morning. Waited all afternoon for info when my goods were going to be delivered. Again I had to contact argos to find this info out. Finally delivered on the 6th. Rearrange another electrician on 7th to install my cooker. MY ORDER NO WAS 214173495. Think I should have some compensation concerning this matter. Await your prompt reply

The prize wheel on the Argos website is a disgrace. One gives details to win a phone etc in good faith and then they send you loads of texts telling you to pay to stay in the draw. This should be said upfront. So Argos get your house in order and operate ethically

Such comments should be aired. Not wait for moderation.

So if you are ethical this should remain up

    Dear Sir or Madam
I ordered a TV stand 418/5952 to be collected at your Farnham Surrey store on the evening of 21-10-2016, which I did checking the part number was correct and paid for it. This was part of my Grand Daughters birthday party on the 23-10-2016, so I left my brother to assemble the stand on afternoon of the 22-10-2016 while I collected other items for the party. On my return I found that the stand was the totally wrong unit and could not be used, after phoning the Farnham store I was told that this was the warehouses fault and to bring it back but no other store in the area had that stand. After phoning your Head office I was offered a new stand which could be delivered the next morning but I would have to pay for delivery and offered £10 reduction in the price. There a couple of problems with this (One) I will not have the time to assemble the Stand and TV for the party, (Two) the cost of my time and fuel to collect and return the stand (Three) the insult of being only offered £10 reduction in the price. This has totally ruined my Grand Daughters party has she and her Thirty friends were looking forward to watching films and playing games on the new TV. I believe this will not do Argos any good in the future as I will be informing all the parents of her friends attending, of your service and also adding it to my local rugby club web site and news letter of which we have a thousand members.

    Yours a very happy customer

    Mike Rowe

on the 25th 9th 16 i purchased a Morphy richards mini oven from argos
    order no 1137832808 .
i have used it daily,to do normal cooking however within two months one of the hot plates has now stopped working ,i ask you are these things built to last these days. i say not .
i now have the trouble to pack it all up and take it back to Argos and hopefully get a new one or my money back.having had the hot plate ring pack up ,can i trust another one or is the same going to happen a few months down the line.
To be honest i am extremely put out and not happy having to pay out petrol money of at least £15.00 to go to my nearest argos store to sort this out not including at least two hours of traveling and time.

seems a sore point that people are pointing this out ie .
goods failing in no time at all.
