Absolutely useless delivery service and you just try and contact them and see where you get! We had a delivery delayed over 4 hours, yes FOUR. I phoned at 12 for a late 9-11 slot and got a foreigner “perhaps its a technical error, you’ll get it by 1pm” I phoned at 2pm, another foreigner couldn’t understand what my problem was. I phoned the shop, they hung up. I tried every option on the shop number until one said “I’ll transfer you” then I heard a foreign lady say “You have techincal issues, call back”. I didn’t hang up and I heard her tralalaaa-ing singing away. 330pm it arrived and we asked the driver who simply said “don’t ask.” I phoned Customer services again and again but they just kept on hanging up. Then I got a call the following day with a message that simply said “It’s Nicole from Asda can you call me back?” WHERE is Nicole? Not at the shop – I tried. So we had a four hour late delivery (partially missing goods) and no explanation. Appalling.

I would like to know which charity and the o/o paid to them, from the money we have to pay for your company carrier bags now, please. We have asked in our local store, however they were vague to put it mildly.
I did mail customer service last week, but as yet no reply.

    Hi,
I had a very bad treatment by one of the delivery staff, today 30 Dec 2015.
He behaved so badly, because I asked him if he could help to get the grocery in, he eventually started to drop the shopping out of the boxes on the door step, he said he has other customers to go to, he then told me he is or was a Police Officer and worked for the Military Police, etc, he knocked at my home door at 11 am, was unbelievable, he could have got in a serious trouble, if he did this to any other customer, extreme contemptable behavior; I old him, I have Chronic Shoulders problems, he kept on his crude, uncivilised conduct, as if I am not there he came with an attitude, that I am at the brink of calling the MOD and the POLICE, I am worried now, he was sent on purpose, to check the place, I have a reason to say this.
My son is at HM Forces for the last 10 years, his work from Weaponage Tutor, Tank Commander to PTI, etc.
I tried to get to the in Gloucester Asda, Bruton Way, Mr James Whitehouse, but he was not there, his deputy, was far from helpful; whatever, he put me through to Scott, who was also rude to me and refused to tell me what is his role , so I can tell him what happened.
I sopped at Asda for the last 19 years, I used to go to Cribbs Cause way in Bristol for 7 years , weekly. I have more to tell regarding this James, who delivered the grocery, that was offensive!
    I await your response asap.

I am absolutely disgusted at your organisation! I shop at the clayton brook branch nearly every day of the week as do my daughter and granddaughters. In early January I shopped here and at the checkout there were no bags. I was offered a freezer bag! I find this lack of organisation at such a large emporium a disgrace. Notwithstanding that customers now pay for packaging there was nothing to buy!

I was in administration management for many years in South Africa and this would never have happened. Service was paramount!

Last night my daughter and I visited the same store. Whilst she was manually checking out I noticed a supervisor (a short lady with glasses and a miserable face) watching my daughter intently. Eventually she approached my daughter to inform her that she hadn’t paid for her bags! She had but the supervisor must have missed it in her enthusiasm to “catch her out”.

I understand the need for security my complaint is about the insensitivity of this one particular member of staff.

Neither my daughter nor myself or indeed anyone we know who shops at asda, will darken your door again. We will in future shop at aldis who do gave bags and pleasant and helpful staff!

When I arrived home, then realising that the bounty pack expired on 18/09/15 and all the coupons expired in 2015 I was really disappointed.

I use your prescription collection service at ypur pharmacy in the Asda store in Skelmersdale Lancashire nd in the last Sox months this service has got increasingly worse. Complaints are met with condemnation of my GP surgery never once do they accept responsibility. I was put on Mezolar fentanyl patches but for some reason I was given duragesic and the pharmSist told me there is no difference even though an NHS directive warns not to change brands. Each month there are items missing from my prescription even though I have insisted on going through it with them. This is when they blame the GO this week after coming out of hospital after major surgery I collected my px only to find there items missing . . Again. I had then to attend the surgery and pick up px take it back to Asda and collect it the following day. I was assured that this soul not happen again. I put my medication seT Wednesday evening only to discover there was no co dydramol. I sent in Thursday and was told it was because my GP was using locums they got very nasty with me and refused to allow me a loan against the px and they are px only drugs. I could not get them til next week due to their negligence. This is not an isolated incident. Lots of people I speak to have the same problems. They do not seem to understand that when I am on fentNyl and co dydramol it is because I am in pain. It is not something I take for fun. Please sort that pharmacy out or I will go to the press and get local support from dozens of other dissatisfied customers.
Hi is mot because I an choosey about what I take. Believe me I need my medication.

    Dear Sirs
My wife and I were given Gift Cards as christmas presents but have been unable to redeem them.
One card was used at the main ASDA store in Wigan and had a small balance left on it.
Today the till at the Marius Bridge store refused to recognise both cards even when the customer services manager interviened. She did however allow us to use the 50p, this being the remaining balance on one card.
She suggested we try and use the remaining remaining card at the main store.

My concern is this,if the cards can only be used at certain stores, it limits its use and as far as I am concerned the incentive to purchase one.
I will therefore think again about using or buying cards from ASDA.

    Regards
    David

I havr stopped shopping at Asda/Walmart following the ending of their instore foodbank collections and the green token scheme for helping local charities. Wal-Mart and their US owners, the hugely wealthy Walton family will neither know nor care. However, the corporate arrogance underlying this decision shows that Asda is losing touch with UK public opinion. And that should worry the Waltons a lot.

on the sixteenth of febuary we visisted your store at atlantic village in bideford north devon .I was with my daughter my two grandchildren my neice and her two children. the youngest in a wheel chair, she has genetic problem called s.m.a which means she will never walk. we had travelled 15miles to get their. we had a very nice meal at your restaurant .then we decided to look at the clothes ,I bought a top and a dress, my niece choose a lot of tops for her disabled daughter willow. we ask a shop assistance if we could have the fitting rooms unlocked, we didn’t realise you don’t have any . The shop assistance said to me I quote “cant you read it says it on the door clear enough.” willow feels very conscious about being in a wheel chair . she is 12 and louise her mum also as a very tough life trying her best to do all she can for her, so she was buying a few tops for to go away for a little holiday. Then along came SUE ,we asked if there are no changing rooms could we try them on near the changing rooms. “no you cant, you are causing a hazard.” not to mention all the racks which is also a hazard. by now feeling very awkward willow didn’t want to try them on in the aisle so my granddaughter who is 9yrs old tried them for her and we guessed if they would fit. SUE the shop assistance then shouted” if it don’t fit you have 3 months to bring it back” then kept walking past us over and over again, weather she thought we would put some in our bags I don’t know? louise did complain at customer services . which they said sorry but that was that. spoil a other wise a good day. look forward to hearing from you. by the way there was a young lady had the same dealing as we did from SUE. she also felt awkward

    Wonky veggie boxes
Today I contacted my nearest Asda store regarding the above item, only to be told that demand was outstripping supply. I was advised that 250 stores had been selected to stock these boxes but had sold out almost immediately and they did not know when more stock would become available.
So I ask myself a) is there a problem with the supply chain or 2)are you trying to convince us that we would prefer “straight” veggies so no point in re-stocking them ?
    Your comments would be appreciated.

I am absolutely fuming and disgusted with asda Queslett and the customer services I have been receiving.i made my first online order delivery on Wednesday 17th Feb 2016 and paid and booked my delivery slot for Thursday 18th Feb between 7 and 9pm as I’m waiting it reaches past 8pm and I receive a call from the store that something happened with the delivery driver and I won’t be receiving my delivery that night that someone will call me the next day Friday to let me know when my shop is coming.next day no phone call I’m ringing around and then accused of being a liar that my order had been delivered which it had not. In mind I’m 37 weeks pregnant with 3 young kids at home and needing shopping for the weekend dinners etc…so they tell me they will investigate and call back. Waiting no call back chasing up again. A next colleague says that u can get a refund or come in and collect it the cheek of them.they say again they will call me back. Still nothing.next morning now Saturday 30th still nothing I ring again and they say I can get my food delivered tomorrow.i am fuming.i got no food in the house and I done spent the money to them so I couldn’t even go elsewhere and a refund will take a few days. The customer service is disgusting and have no feelings to the customers done wrong and they want to offer me a 10 pound evoucher. What makes them think I will be ordering from them again? Still not resolved I’m in tears as I can’t belive the deal I have to go through just for my shopping that I’ve done paid for.and chasing up spending over £15 in calls.the said the manager will call me back in 15 minutes and 4 hours later guess what no call!!!just rung back and now they wanna offer me £5 pound voucher big drop and a call back in 24 hours.i am going out of my mind and so stressed.will never be ordering anything again from asda absolutely disgusted and shocked!

Hi, I would suggest don’t get stressed about this. Just keep proof of your telephonic and email communications with ASDA on this matter. File a case in the small claims court. Claim compensation in lieu of mental anguish and trauma. You can do it yourself, online. If you have proper documentation of the issue and your communications with ASDA, then you will win the case. And this would teach ASDA to up the ante w.r.t. their customer grievances redressal process. Thanks

Despite checking the website before leaving home which stated that the store was open 10-4 the store was closed. Many other people also arrived in the car park. Whilst I appreciate that everyone is allowed a break – this is not a problem- but please ensure that customers are accurately informed of intentions.

I have 3 complaints first is you have moved your child parking places at your asda stores and made the space smaller than before. There are more disabled than child places, you can’t tell me there are more disabled people than young children. Second complaint is child places are not policed be you and anyone is parking in them . Today I had a set to with a guy who had no children and did not give a toss when I confronted him about it. Getting feed up going in to your stores and can’t find a decent parking place. Also your trolleys should be better controlled as people just dumping them in front of people’s cars think your security should do more. Shopped at Lincoln at North hykhem store for years bring my daughter and Grandchildren every Saturday but if this continues I will shop elsewhere .

yesterday ASDA.COM where selling persil capsules of different varieties for 20p a tub. This was probably a mistake within 1 hour they where changed. when at 20p my partner ask some family members if they would like some and ordered 74 boxes of different types in total. she then had to order more shopping as it stated that it was a minimum of £25 spend for free delivery, so she ordered a total of £31 shopping including the said capsules. The order was accepted and they did not say that anything was out of stock. my partner received a time when it would all be delivered. today ASDA.COM made the delivery minus the persil capsules stating that suddenly they were out of stock . How amazing that is. They then charge £2 for delivery as she had only spent £19 because of the persil been out of stock what a cheek!!!!. So I’m now wondering if this is just some CHEAP TACTICS that ASDA.COM!!! are using by putting good on sale at ridiculously daft prices just so people will buy more shopping as you have spend £25 to have it delivered for free then saying that such products are out of stock .its win win for ASDA.COM. well I for one will not be shopping at ASDA again if that what they do .

Good afternoon, I’ve returned home this afternoon after being shopping in your asda store kendal to look at my receipt to find I’ve been over charged for an electric toothbrush I’ve just bought. I returned to store and showed Angela the customer service colleague where I bought it from and the price it showed on the shelf, as I showed her there was still 3 other tooth brushes on the shelf with the £5 price tag under. She asked for another colleague to come over and then showed him. Then returned to me and said there’s nothing they can do as the “barcode isn’t the same” even though the description was exactly the same. As a customer you do not check the barcode and it wasn’t his bid able until removed from the shelf. The difference was £9 as a multi million pound company I think this was awful customer service to have received. I’m a supervisor at a local diy store in customer services and without even being hessian to would have honoured this price to any customer. I would appreciate some feed back from this email.

I am concerned about training standards and customer relations at asda Gosforth.

I phoned asda gosforth, requested the fresh fish counter, placed an order for a whole salmon.

The female asda staff member that took my call was very pleasant and helpful, and told me I would receive a phone call in a few days time to confirm the salmon was ready to collect.

But instead, I received a phone call from a male asda colleague informing me that my order should not have been accepted, that the lass that took my call did not work on the fish counter, that it was not possible to place an order for salmon, as the fish counter had no control over what fish they received and when.

I placed this order especially in plenty of time so that I could cook the salmon for my Mum’s birthday party – she will be 87 on the 19th May.

I am particularly aggrieved as asda’s internet site is currently offering whole salmon to internet customers.

So why can asda not supply to in-store customers such as myself?

I do not want to shop via internet, and do not want to ‘just pop in’ every day on the off-chance that there might be a salmon available.

I had intended to buy all the non-perishable items for the party when I collected the salmon. I am aggrieved that asda gosforth have turned away my trade, especially as I have been a customer since the store first opened.

Fortunately for me there are other supermarkets that are still happy to accept an order for a whole salmon by phone, and as I will have to go elsewhere to collect the salmon I will be doing all the shopping elsewhere too.

I feel very let down by asda gosforth.

Wrote to your manager at Sutton regarding filthy, stinking car park being used by vagrants or the car wash lot. Urinating under up ramp, stinks had to repark away from it. Car wash lot driving cars all over the place, wrong way, are they insured? Not got an answer from him. Useless manager. Emailed head office they don’t respond either. Do they think so badly of asda customers that they put up with this sort of environment when they shop there? I advise al who use Sutton, surrey asda go elsewhere or buy gas masks!

I shop regularly at the Shoebuyness store, lately I have noticed the store is looking tired and in need of a revamp which hasn’t happened in an age. Also many of the shelves recently have been empty which bothers me immensely. It makes me thinks that it may be in financial trouble. Asda is a very important store to Shoebuyness and the surrounding area. We would hate it if was to close down. I would really like to hear your input on my opion and perhaps reassure me and many Shoebuyness shoppers

From 1994/5 the government as been taking 50% of the surplus, this is in a amount of £1m per day to date that is £9b that is the miners pension. To fight this we are doing a petition to go before the house of lords we must get 100.000 signatures . What we are looking for is to come to your store, so I phoned your store at merthyr in south wales where the lady on customer service told me NO and put the phone down this I found to be very rude. There is only 4 of us doing this in wales and we are all over 64 and at best we will only be at the store about 3/4hrs. we have been to 7 tesco stores in and around the area with a lot of joy. This morning I went into the cafe at the Langley Mill Store which I have many times before when the food was given to me the fried egg looked raw so i sat down and cut straight into it and it was I took it back and said you have given me a raw egg the lady said (not the one that had cooked the egg) well do you want another I said not a fried egg no don’t you do any other she said yes scrambled which I wasn’t given the option in the first place so I let them do me another breakfast with a scrambled egg while they was cooking it I heard them talking and laughing about it the breakfast came and the egg was well over done which I understand it was because I complained about the raw egg but the mushrooms was freezing cold, no hash brown and the bacon was more than cremated which I have photos on my phone of so I just up and left complete waste of money and very poor customer service needless to say I shall not be going to the cafe again. Had my first on line delivery today (20/05/2016) never again, my order was a disaster, I ordered 1.5 kg brisket joint for a Sunday lunch with friends and it was substituted with two slabs of braising steak, the free range eggs I ordered were substituted with caged hens eggs, the fresh chillies were rotten in the bag, I wasn’t informed of unavailability it just turned up on the doorstep, bottles of wine spilling out of the bags and left me no option but to drive to my local Tesco to save my weekend. Will not be using Asda.com again.

    Hello,
I volunteer with a foodbank in Isleworth, next door to your Asda store there. We’d like permission to allow people to donate items to a box located in this store. The store manager does not have the authority to give us the permission we need. It was suggested we contact your community contact. Would you be able to give me the details of the relevant person – the postcode is TW7, and I believe Kingston Upon Thames is our nearest larger store.

For some time I have been purchasing a brand of sparkling water called Eden Falls at a price of eight bottles for £5.
This morning I find that the price had risen by over 10% !
Is there a drought up there in Cumbria now that the floods have gone?
Is there sudden increase in the price of water on the futures markets?
Is this your new idea of Roll Back? or perhaps an improvement called “Roll over dear customer” ?
I quickly checked with my local Aldi store and the price of their sparkling water has remained the same. Actually much cheaper than Asda.
    Roll Back? Roll OFF!
Hey! Guess where I shall be shopping in future?

I am writing to you …because I have given up phoning and waiting forever for someone to answer …at my expence ….this is my complaint …in Feb one of your home delivery drivers smashed into the bumper on our van ….I informed asda at the time …and have complained ever since …and nothing has been done …they have completly ignored it …..but I am not paying for the repair ..when it is at your door …the driver knew what he did and aknowedge it …but still it goes on …I will not be letting this go …as there are no managers in the store …Swanley kent ….it is unlikely to get dealt with …..I am angy and disgusting at my treatment of this …..I worked there when the firm belonged to Asda and not Walmart since the takeover the place has gone down hill …..if I don’t hear from you …You will be getting a solicitors letter ……trust me I will not let this drop ……

Best practise. For the past three days I have been searching for an elusive product, whole fresh salmon. This product has not been available at your Winsford, Chester Greyhound Park, Queensferry, Runcorn branches today and seems to be unavailable to your customers in the north west. I am surprised at this as you are advertising online and in newspapers that you have salmon on offer when in fact in my experience it is not. I have tried to contact your head office to no avail despite holding the line for twenty minutes today from 5:18 until 5:40, the ‘team’ could not be found to answer my call, Jemma or Jenna kept trying. I would like an opportunity to speak with someone soon. Tel 07834097754.

Just purchased 28 pounds of flowers (one being a very delicate orchid) at Blyth Northumberland superstore and placed in small basket as to protect them. on my way to car was stopped by a store trolley collector and was told I couldn’t take basket out of store. Initially I couldn’t understand him and thought he was joking. I told him I would bring it back to the store but got its company policy . This is in front of other shoppers and I am so embarrassed by this lack of customer service skills, on returning to the store I spoke with the manageress who explained it was company policy. There are no signs informing customers baskets are not to be removed, the assistants at customer services offered to help me carry my purchases to the car. I declined their offer and got a refund. I am a mature lady and certainly do not require to be embarrassed outside our local store after an extremely long day at work. – unhappy customer

    Dear Sirs,

On Monday 1st August the Official Opening Ceremony of the handover by Leicestershire County Council of the Sapcote Library, to a group of local village volunteers will take place at 10.30 am.
We have very limited funding indeed, but would like to put on a really good show if possible.
We would like to know if at that time you could help out by donating any of the following:

Prepared Food or Food Products we could use for our buffet for approximately 50 guests.
    Bunting of any description.
New or Used Books that we could sell on that day or at any future books sales.
Any new products that we could sell at a Raffle.

We are inviting the local press and TV News to cover event, and anything donated would be flagged up and accredited accordingly.

Martin Withers retired RAF pilot and Vulcan XH558 Chief Pilot whose late father was a Fellow of the Libraries Association, and who is interested in the future of the library services both locally and nationally. As a Vulcan pilot Squadron Leader Martin Withers is famed for being part of the famous Black Buck Raid on Port Stanley during the Falklands Conflict. During his role as Captain of the Vulcan B2 Bombers, his mission Blackbuck 1 in aircraft XM607, was the only one to successfully inflict damage to the runway there. It remains the longest bombing raid in history.
Another two special guests John Wood and Bob Miller are both volunteers with the Vulcan to the Sky, and have been for many years. Both have an in-depth knowledge of the Vulcan bomber and other aircraft. They were both co-authors of the book detailing 60 years of the Avro Vulcan, so we are delighted that they will be with us to compliment Martin Withers. There will be a chance to see a copy of the book and place an order for one with a special certificate signed by them and commemorating the event.

And we are also very pleased to have local author Pamela Newton, whose book Doppleganger has recently been published, with us too.

If you might be able to help us, I would be very grateful to hear from you.

On Sunday 19th June I spent 130 pounds in Asda in the bridge centre Portsmouth. I bought a bag of sweet potato and on putting my shopping away saw that the use by date was the 17th of June. Obviously I am not too happy about this. On average my shopping is 100 pounds plus per week. I have emailed you as the last time I purchased an out of date product and took it back to the store they did not seem too bothered. I am sure you can be heavily fined for having out of date stock on your shelves.

    Hi
My son went to Asda Pyle this evening to buy a bottle of wine for myself and my wife. He is 19, drove himself there and had ID. He went with his 16 year old sister. The store assistant refused to let him buy it and said that it was Asda policy not to sell alcohol to him because he was accompanied by a 16 year old and he may give it to her to drink.
    1. I’m not sure of the legal basis of this decision. It seems discriminatory to me. If I were to go with my daughter to buy her cider to take to the beach, they wouldn’t question me.
    2. Even if legal, it is not logical as if it were for his sister, he can just go back without her later.
Could you comment on whether this is Asda policy, or have the Pyle store taken it upon themselves to come up with this?
I look forward to your reply.

Having ordered 60 1ltr of Asda Smart uhd milk yesterday,. I thought there would be no problem as we had done so before. The delivery driver explained that Asda didn’t have any in stock. I rang Brnymawr to complain and ask why they didn’t get some from Cwmbran store, wher they had 380 1ltrs of the stuff 😭 really poor customer service and I had to suggest to them how to resolve it. If they haven’t got any in store, it shouldn’t be on the website for people to purchase. 😈

I have this afternoon been to asda in Totton Hants to find yet again every thing is being moved around again WHY it doesn’t make us buy more it just makes us bloody angry, it is normally the woman that do the shopping we make lists in order to where things are in the shop because we are usually on a time scale because we have a hundred and one things to do and guess what we get to Asda and some overpaid OCD he must have this because the store changes on a regular basis unlike Morrisons,Tesco,Sainsburys, Aldi and Lidl they keep things the same and maybe only change things once a year. Andy Clark leave things alone maybe who ever takes your place will have more sence. I was told by one of your work force this was all down to you Stop Doing it, it just makes us angry and if you are disabled as I am and have to keep walking round the store because YOU have decided to change things yet again it causes us to be in more pain get very angry and take it out on the poor low paid workers in the store to wich I did apologise . You wonder why lots of people now go to other stores well this is WHY !!!!!!!!!!!!

    Order Number:70370181

I have shopped with Asda online for a few months now as we have no
transport and we are pensioners. The price has always been right and up to now the delivery perfect. But things have gone pear shaped, my delivery this Saturday 25.6.16 has gone more than pear shape.
The driver dropped my shopping off not waiting for me to just have a once over and to quickly check it. So when we came to unpack what a surprise there were a good few items missing totalling £20 and most important a bottle of Volvic orange the top had been opened seal broken and about a third missing. Well when I rang customer services they did not see the problem in this anybody or anything could have been put in the bottle especially the age we are living in.
I was promised a call from customer service yesterday no call, my goods are still missing, I have rung Winsford store and tried to get through to Crewe store nothing happening.
I need somebody to take ownership of this problem and get it sorted.

purchased a basic microwave model P80D20ETP-YWA 18m/ 2yr ago, batch no. 12/29/13. the problem is that the rotating wheeled assembly is abrading the running surface below to the extent of destroying the enamel and exposing the pressed steel base plate; which in turn is subject to unseen corrosion arising from condensed water vapour. Resulting in the classic case of soft wheel embedded with hard debris wearing an equally hard support surface.
Question: micro wave radiation leakage issuing from casing; is this a long term potential health hazard? is there not a H&S issue and should there have been a product recall or has there been — Hatfield store had no knowledge.

We shop at our local asda Stanley weekly and spend approximately 150.the staff are extremely helpful and friendly and we know most of them by name.whilst shopping this week we noticed the staff having to deal with complaints from customers the entire way around the shop. The entire stock has been moved around, which isn’t a problem to all, however I was not able to buy the usual products being told, the lines have been stopped due to streamlining? Very disappointed as I had to use another store to obtain these items.surely shoppers could have been told in advance that this was happening and some items may not be available prior to the event. I was really put out.it sounds petty but it really did put us out.as a customer I just wanted my point heard. Thankyou

I think the country should have a referendum on stay or leave item on the same shelves in your stores.
I have just spent the last hour trawling around in my local Asda trying to do my weekly shop, I have returned home totally exhausted as the items are all in different places .
Do you not realise humans like routine and hunting for food went out in the stone age .
Your planning dept need a reshuffle how do you come to a conclusion that salad dips go in the isle with your uncooked meat ( no sense ) come on Asda think of your customers and also staff who do not know where things are .
Your staff are very apologetic and loyal to you , but I can not think your customers are.
Maybe it is a marketing ploy or maybe I just do not get it , Maybe next week I will have to try Morrisons, or Sainsburys < or even Aldi and Lidl.
Less stress makes for Happy shoppers get public opinion and get your act together.

Halesowen store – went shopping this morning (02/07/16) there were no trollies or baskets, I need a trolley as I use a stick and find it difficult with a basket. After waiting 15 minutes there will still no trollies and I went to the checkouts for a basket.
I only bought a few items as I was struggling, at the checkout there was two reduced chocolate bar which I added to my shopping. When I put some strawberries on the till I noticed that one was mouldie so I asked the cashier (Emma) if she could change them. She called the Supervisor saying that she was ‘fed up of this, I going home, they think I’m joking’, then she just went on and on about Asda, other colleagues and what seems to be a favourite of Asda staff is ‘I’ll be glad when I’ve finished, I’ve been here all day’. She then came to the reduced chocolate bars and they would not scan, she huffed and puffed and called the supervisor who told her to enter manually, she made such a fuss I told her to forgot the chocolate bar I didn’t want them anymore, with which she threw them back.
I took my shopping and Asda staff were blocking the entry to the escalater so that they could bring the trollies down, there must have been all the trollies the store owned. We were then moved like sheep to use the lift of which one was out of order.
I have never had such a bad shopping trip, ever, it will take a lot for me to use this store again and I’m sure there were others this morning who felt the same.

Asda is wondering WHY their sales are going down? I can tell you the shelves are never full. The pet Isle is the worst, I can never get what I want and have complained numerous times and still NOTHING has been done. I was in our local shop today at 2pm Saturday afternoon guess what there were NO fresh fruit pies on sale and nobody in the Bakery to ask about it. I was not the only customer complaining about it, but if I make a complaint at customer services STILL NOTHING is done about it.
I have tried going to other Asda stores in my area but they are all the same, they do nothing about increasing stock levels.

I am a customer of your Wrexham, North Wales branch and have been for the last 30+ yrs spending in excess of £100 per week and have never had cause to complain before as the store and staff are exemplary, however. Last Thursday 30th June 2016, I purchased a bouquet of flowers that had a guarantee for 5 days on them. By the next day they had started to fade and by today Sunday 3rd July the roses have died and gone brown and the spray carnations are wilting. To say I am disappointed is an understatement as I always buy fresh flowers. I thought it best I bring this to your attention.

For over a month now we’veh had constant trouble getting nappies. This isn’t just our local store, it’s other stores too! Bridgend and Pyle stores at least. Pampers size 6 pull ups seem to have become gold dust! I’ve repeatedly caught staff (including management) and nothing has changed. I was told by a lovely lady yesterday that they are ordered in sets of 5 boxes. The deal you have on is 2 for £18. Naturally this leaves one sat on a shelf preventing more stock being ordered. Demand has been high since you stopped stocking the 6+. Why has nothing been done to address these stock levels? If nothing changes we’ll have to take our weekly shop elsewhere.

As a very old Grocer(I started at age 7 in 1940) and ex Buyer for two private Multiples ,and stock controller for a grocery wholesaler I really must comment on the latest changes to your business. I started trading with your Penryn store as soon as you came to Cornwall. over the years we have been with you ,various products that WE need have been removed from the shelves OR not been re-ordered . The latest re positioning of many products has finally forced me to write. Having to ask where products have gone is very counter productive for your staff and time consuming for your throughput We have been Forced to shop at Tesco, a company I HATE,for many products you do not carry any longer or have “hidden” elsewhere.

Visiting Bournemouth Castlepoint store with my 90year old Mother today her mobility is very poor. Entering the shop pushing the trolley which I attach to a wheelchair a lady said to me that she had been waiting half an hour for a wheelchair now she was shopping elsewhere. I sat my mother on the only chair available which was situated but he queue for McDonalds which stretched to the entrance of the shop. Waiting 20mins I went to ask about there wheelchairs, The answer was they are in use. Another 10mims I asked again was then told one had been stolen the other in use. The security guard then went round the store looking to see who was using the wheelchair but was unable to find it. He then suggested I put my mother in a mobility scooter, she’s never driven in her life. My mother is now getting very agitated with all the people surrounding her going into McDonalds so I said we would not be shopping here today so we left, she found today’s experience very upsetting as she loves her outing every Thurseday afternoon. Please could something be done as this is not the first time this has happened and my mother would be very upset if we couldn’t visit your store again as she loves to see one of your staff members Andrew.

Once severed only one person on tills so ended up with cold food. This is not a one off its happening all the time , the restaurant at lunch time should have more people working there as two people cannot run that place at lunch time.

Then after 5 mins return and serve you, with no sorry to keep you waiting. Today two people give up waiting on the pizza counter and I had to ask some one filling the shelves could they please get some one to serve us. Install a bell or retrain staff, so there s some one always on the counter and not chatting to their work mate which also happens. Or perhaps remove the screen so they no some one is waiting and they have nothing to hide behind.

I am absolutely disgusted with the way asda treats it’s customers.im fixable and shop at morrisons but when I’m in a bad way I have to do a online shop with asda.evey time I order I have replacements due to the staff to lazy to shop properly for the customers. Last fortnight I ordered a price of pork priced st £3.00 I got a replacement piece costing £6.00 and was expected to pay the £6.00 disgusting.
Then to top it off I paid for my shopping to arrive between 1.00 send 4.00 so made arrangements to take my kids out at 5.00. I had to cancel my kids going out as my shopping didn’t arrive till nearly 2 hours later.when I phoned at 5.00 it hadn’t left the shop. The driver rudely got out and said you don’t look happy….well no your 2hours late.he then said some customers orders are 4hours late and some may not get there shopping so think yourself lucky….I’m damn well sure my kids aged 13/ 4 and grandson of 2 years thought themselves lucky as I had to cancel there fun for the evening.i then looked at the sheet and so many replacements more than normal but one in particular tipped me over boiling point.i wanted a pack of 6 frube yogurts for my kids I had a replacement of one large pot of low fat yogurt. How is that a suitable replacement.so I told the bloke to take shopping back fumeing. I’ve been back on phone today with bank and asda trying to get money back so I can go do a shop to be told asda have to give me a code to release the funds from bank and asda reckon they can’t give me one.my bank can’t release funds till 3rd August. Great so my kids got to go without food till then. So they missed out on going out last night now miss out on food bits.
I’m disgusted with the way asda treats it’s customers I usually spend loads fitting my kids all out with uniform and shopping.well I won’t be returning to asda and I definitely won’t be recommending them either.fumeing is an understatement

HOME DELIVERY. I have been on the phone to your Keighley branch and to the 0800 number for over half an hour and whilst the people were great as usual, I got nowhere. Last week I received 5bottles of wine at £5 each but I had ordered incorrectly. I simply want to return 4 of them. Your driver is due in an hour. I shall ask him to accept them for credit. If this fails then MORRISONS HERE I COME. Please reply ASAP

I always buy the single 9bar glutton free 50p each. I now can not buy them single I have to buy them in a package with 3 bars in at a cost of £1.99. So the package is costing me 49p. This is outrageous. How can you justify this.
    Awaiting your reply

Today whilst shopping at your Arnold Store, I had a bit of a run in with one of your staff. This was to my wanting to buy jars of coffee. I was informed that I could not buy the amount that I required. At first I thought the staff member was having a bit of “friendly” banter, in saying “Why have you got so much coffee?”. My reply was cause,” I drink so much “. She then told me that I could not have that amount. She then told the till operator not to ring it threw as she was going to make a phone call. After said phone call she came back and told me I could only have 6 jars. I asked why, to which she said, “IF YOU BUY ALL OF THAT COFFEE THEN NO ONE ELSE CAN”. This I found highly funny, of cause no one can buy it if I have bought it. Now don’t get me wrong but I was under the impression you went into shops to buy items from the said store, or has this idea changed? It reminded me of my time in the Royal Air Force when you would request an item from stores only to be told, “we have only one of those so we can not give it to you incase someone else wants it”. I then said if there is a limit on the amount that can be purchased why was no notice on display to that effect. Staff member said we are not allowed to do that. So when I said that in that case what is to stop me going around again and buying more jars of coffee. Oh no you can not do that. So please tell me when I can go and buy some more jars of coffee? Oh buy the way this item is NOT on special offer. I would be very grateful if you could let me know whe Ican buy some more jars of coffee.

I am sorry for this comment , after using ASDA isle of dogs (canary wharf) since it opened many years ago. We spend average £200 pounds per week.
Today was my last visit. Reason is the store is a disgrace to your name .
1 shelves stocked wrong prices wrong. 2 Dirty ignorant staff. The food is all
over the place. 4 The certain members of the workforce I use the word work
slightly off the cuff, they are like a little mafia jabbering in there own language between themselves ,I wish my working life was so easy and fun.
As I say sorry but that is enough.

I understand that you have opened a halal butchers in high Wycombe not a good idea asda because you have just lost British customers big time as I have just seen on a news article. This is Britain and this will not be tolerated by us legal owners of Britain under the magna carta. You have made the biggest blunder and now you face going bust through your own stupidly the government is responsible for the mess in our country but we voted leave for good reason. Not for this to happen in our country thank you because you are now seen as a disgrace to Britain. I will not bother shopping at your supermarkets ever again unless you put this right and remove the insult from your store.

Why is it that asda at wigan soho st, stop selling everything I have bought for years, like volvic stilled mineral water, ocean spray cranberry juice with blackcurrant. Now it looks like they will stop selling my arnica honey as it is temporarily out of stock, ‘temporarily’ means weeks and weeks at this asda as they are an absolute joke at restocking and when they do manage to restack the shelves it takes them hours as staff spend all there time chatting to other colleagues. It really anoys me that I have to travel to sainsburys to buy my water and juice. It is surpose to be a Walmart whereas you can buy everything under one roof, it’s getting more and more like ali selling cheap unknown brands, I’m getting so fed up with it that Im going to do all my shopping at sainsburys. When I’ve asked why they stop selling the items I buy I’m told they don’t make it anymore which is a lie as I buy my products from sainsburys.

What do I have to do to get a reply from your company? I have been in touch since 24th July and have done everything I was asked to do. I sent a complaint to your customer service team on 25th July and still waiting on a reply, even though your website said someone would be in touch within 24 hours!!!!. I called again on 2nd August and got to speak to a “Manager”…… who said he would deal with my complaint personally and get back to me later that afternoon, needless to say I am still waiting…………
Your Customer Service is appalling and I have never set foot in one of your stores or used the online service since 24th July and I won’t be ever again. Needless to say I have also bad mouthed you to my family and to anyone who will listen. I have never been so disgusted at any service I have received as the one I have from you.
Does anyone actually read these and answer them?

On Tue 2/8/16 I went to Asda Cheltenham store to do a “top up shop”. With me I took the flowers, that my daughter bought for me from asda, the Saturday before as “pick me up” as my husband {her father}was in hospital having had heart surgery. Sadly these flowers had started to wilt but as I was needing some groceries anyway I would take them to the customer service desk as their quality was poor. The assistant at the desk told me that as there wasn’t a receipt that they could well have been bought at a reduced price, so couldn’t do anything .A manager just happened to pass by when the assistant mentioned this to him and without a look to acknowledge my presence looked at the flowers and said without a receipt nothing can be done. My daughter did not buy them at a reduced price.
The result of this encounter, as the first time I have ever had cause to complain at your store. I am still annoyed that your company seems so uninspiring and short sighted because I didn’t bother shopping at asda that day and went to the nearby Morrisons in fact I will not be shopping at asda for sometime, if at all, as Cheltenham is lucky enough to have all major supermarkets and others in the area.

Hi iv been using your online shopping for myself and my mum for sometime now. My mother’s shopping is every week and I am just writing to complain about the service. The ayr branch is so badly run and staff can be rather rude sometimes. I went in the other day to say thst they had not put the money back in the bank to be told that I had not waited long enough but i had so I phoned two days later ro be told that it wasn’t den on the system and no apology the man was rather rude on the phone. And also a few month ago got a phone call on the day that my mums shopping was due to say that tone ate the vans were off the road I tried explaining she’s a house bound 78 year old woman but they didn’t really bother and says they wouldn’t be delivering it and all the would do was put 10 in the account for her next shopping thst never happined either. I no it won’t be a loss to such a big comping like asda to lose our custom and I’m not doing it to get something for nothing but think asda ayr needs a good shake up as we won’t be getting any more online shopping from you.

I’ve been a good customer of Asda for 9 years but I’m thinking I’ll shop elsewhere in future. This is the link for your survey! Not happy at all. Asda in Canterbury is 24hrs I turned up to go shopping to see signs saying temporary opening times. I was at asda on Tuesday morning taking my mother shopping there was no notices about this any where in the shop only a sign saying we are improving this store. so why was there nothing in the shop to say about times of opening if there was it wasn’t displayed very well. so I had a wasted journey I live 10 miles from the asda shop. also while I’m here I need to no why is it I can buy every cheese going from England to Europe to Canada but not Scottish cheese WHY?. and another thing is the disabled parking at Canterbury I think the person that sits just inside the shop entrance should get up a watched people parking there as I’ve seen on a number of occasions where people use it and are DEFINITELY NOT DISABLED. THANKYOU for reading this hope to hear from you soon kind regards Lorraine.

Asda Store Weston super Mare, Mike Jarrett Manager.
I am a mystery shopper. the lady on your customer services counter, I felt sorry for there was a que of 10 of us waiting to be served. Unfortunately the young lady was doing a refund on the other till. There were several workmen who pop in to get their lunches waiting. There was a lady filling up the tills. Someone went to the desk with a lottery ticket which she wanted paying only to be be told that sorry cant do that we don’t have any monies in the till. Your store is open 24/7 and most workmen and ladies on their way to work pop in there to get their lunches. It was disgusting service and I really felt for the lady on the customer services. She was doing her very best to serve everyone, this was about 7.45am on Wednesday morning. Also on observation you are re-vamping the store slowly, moving all products around and also reducing some products, the signs above the isle are not correct they have been like this for serveral weeks. I did ask a member of staff regarding these signs only to be told that the step ladder had broken and also you have to have a specialist in to sort out the signs. I think you at head office need to do a mystery visit to the store to see what is going on. The new Lidl store that recently opened not far from you is doing extremely well. As I say you at head office should do a un-announced trip down to the Asda Stores in Weston super Mare but I suppose this wont happen.

    Morning

I have being using Asda for both home shopping and going to the local store since it opened in Stevenage, I would have written to the Stevenage Manager but as she never responds so decided to go directly to you. I went into Asda this morning to pick up a couple of items before going to work. There was only two self-service tills open out of approx. 14 and only one took cards, the assistant managing this area was moaning about being on her own I did say to her this is ridiculous I need to get to work but have to queue up because the tills aren’t open, she then said, for some unknown reason ‘I think I will play the colour card’ this is appalling behaviour to a customer who she doesn’t know and most definitely not something I would expect any of the staff I manage to say.

On another note I wrote to the store manager a year ago as I witnessed a young man who was old enough to purchase alcohol trying to buy non-alcoholic beer but as he had his younger brother with him he was refused, this is somewhat confusing does this mean if I purchase a bottle of wine with my granddaughter I would be refused? Also as it was non-alcoholic shouldn’t he have been allowed even with his younger brother, again this was a letter that never got a response.

I am hoping that I will not be subjected to this email being ignored and would appreciate a response.

I’m writing to say, how very disappointed I am with such little stock that is kept in your shrewsbury store. I’ve been shopping there for many years and not once had to go anywhere else to finish my Shopping until now. It seems all your lower price item’s such as your own brand seem to often be out of stock which sometimes Forces me to buy the more expensive item. I have to keep to a budget as I have a very small income. I have spoke to other shoppers and they feel the same. You are cheaper on most of your item’s but no stock just isn’t good business. I hope this information is of some help, and is looked into this problem has been going on for the past six months. P.Wood

Sales down – you have a good range of competitively priced product lines. From smart price and ASDA own brands to top brands. But – don’t keep moving them round in the stores! Customers get used to where everything is and if you keep moving it round they’ll go elsewhere if they can’t find it where they thought it was. They won’t want to hunt for it as they usually want to be in and out quickly.

Hi Asda just wanted to let u know why your 7% down this last 3 months. I’ve been an Asda shopper for 10years but stopped now due to you removing so many tills for self scan and scan as you go tills. I’m fed up of queing whilst your self scan are free. Also your home shopping team are so inconsiderate and block the Isles you can never get down. A final point is that morrisons and sainsburys regularly give offers and vouchers especially around Christmas and this year you did nothing. Shows you don’t value our custome.

Just thought u would appreciate knowing why people are leaving your store. By the way I shopped at Scunthorpe store.

On Tuesday ( 16th Aug) I visited the ASDA Sefton Park store in Liverpool, this is not a usual visit but at the time it was more convenient for myself and my husband. Our 4 children were with us a 12 week old, a 2 year old and my twin 11 year olds. Shopping is always stressful with your children in tow but we usually have no problems in Asda Walton. One of my 11 year olds chose a pencil case from the back to school promotion isle and when we got to the till we discovered it had no label. Whilst we waited for a store assistant to go and get a code – which took 6 minutes but seemed like an eternity, my 12 week old daughter- who is under a dietician at Alder Hey for digestion problems- filled her nappy. My husband went to change her in the baby changing facilities, whilst I continued to wait at the till to pay…
He was told by another store assistant that he could not use the toilets as they were out of order. She then questioned if he had a changing mat with him, to which the reply was Yes, as we always carry our own. She then suggested, quite to our horror that he place the mat on the floor of the toilets (which would have had to be the men’s) to change our young baby daughter. I am absolutely appalled and disgusted by this. Firstly, my husband has a spine condition and is disabled and so kneeling is not an option, not that she knew this but you can see from his walk that he has difficulty. Secondly, a suggestion to lay a baby mat on the floor in a public restroom is beyond inappropriate. It is filthy, unhygienic and quite frankly I wouldn’t place my bag on the floor let alone my 12 week old baby girl. Lastly, my HUSBAND wouldn’t have been able to go into the ladies so her suggestion obviously meant the MENS. Would you change a young baby on the floor of a MENS bathroom where urinals are exposed? How horrific. How insulting.
We ended up changing the baby in the car as this was a much better, cleaner option.
Whilst I realise that toilets can be out of order from time to time and this is out of the control of the company I think that some common sense training is in need. I am disgusted.
Needless to say, I will not be visiting this store ever again. I expect better service from a large supermarket chain.

I would like to make a complaint for very un-professional customer service, I made a online delivery for food on the 18th and asda accept payment then cancel delivery ? They did this numoures times.i went to my bank and they said you accepted my payment but still pending and cancel delivery? I spoke to a customer adviser for asda called Fiona and she would not help me solve this situation and failed to give me her staff i.d to make a complaint and she would not put me on to a supervisor or manager ? The bank gave me a authorisation code to give to you and they took it and said its gone through and my shopping will arrive between 9am and 11 am on Saturday 20th ? We have kids to feed and my money is frozen and cannot bruised due to asda accepting payment and not delivering ? You will see my account has an issue on your system ? I was this sorting out and I was compensating for this trouble

    Hi.
While shopping at the Birkenhead store, I remembered, after I’d made my purchase that I’d not given in the refund voucher to the cashier. She told me that there was nothing she could do and that customer service no longer refunds them, despite being within the time limit and having proof of purchase. This policy is very unfair and baffling.
Perhaps instead of the till staff asking if you need bags, they could ask if you have parking that needs refunding to help the distracted, dizzy mums like me.

    Good morning.
In October 2015 one of your Asda home delivery vans ran into the back of my car causing damage to my car and I suffered whiplash and head injury. Your insurance company fixed the car straight away and I made a personal injury claim for my injuries. I have been made an offer by your insurance company back in July which I excepted but since then they seem to be giving me every excuse under the sun as to why they are not paying out. I keep phoning up and they tell me it’s being done and it’s on it’s way but a week later nothing arrives. I send them emails which I have no response to. This claim has been going on for nearly 11 months now, I’ve been to medical examinations and done everything asked of me and I just want this matter finished. I am really not happy with this and with ASDA being such a huge company and priding it’s self on good customer service etc Gallager Bassett are doing nothing for your great reputation. I’m not happy at all with all this and to be honest am beginning to loose faith in ever receiving my claim settlement as its excuse after excuse and none of this was my fault in the first place, it was one of your home delivery drivers fault.

RUDE TO CUSTOMERS DON’T call as PROMISED and have NON ENGLISH SPEAKING PEOPLE ON THE PHONE. HOW ON EARTH CAN I SORT SOMETHING OUT WHEN THEY CAN’T EVEN UNDERSTAND WHAT I’M SAYING??????

Hi I work in Asda 4174 scunthorpe. ..I just wondered if head office are aware of the new housing development that is going to happen called lincolnshire lakes …Over 6000 homes are to be built. .I believe our Asda will benefit greatly and we could probably do with extending our store to accommodate more shoppers …its the nearest store to this new development. .let’s get prepared for it ..let’s be one ahead. 😉

Dear Sir/Madam, yesterday afternoon I was shopping in your store and made a complaint at the customer services counter about one of your employees who stands with the ‘I’m here to help’ signs. She wore glasses and had auburn hair with a fringe and cut in a bob. She made some remark to another woman near the glasses stand at the main entrance and then stared hard at me and so did the woman she had been talking to and I’m sure it was something about did I pay for the plant I was carrying. She knew fine I had purchased the plant . This woman ruined my whole day with her attitude. I’m writing to you just incase the complaint was not forwarded or acted upon. She even appeared at the customer services counter whilst I was putting in the complaint ! ! no wonder I felt she was following me around. You people spend millions on advertising to get people into your store and this is what happens when we get there. There are German supermarkets aplenty that we can shop at.

I’m discussed with the asda on the Meadway, Birmingham B33. They lack customer service, they are so rude I use to spend £150 each week there but I go else where now as one girl told me not to come in we have enough moaning customers. As I ask for a chicken at 10.44am she said they all sold out & they not cooking any more today. The icing on the cake when a custom cut us up to get in the disabled bay not putting her blue badge up as its in the boot. I told her you can get a £70 fine. With that she went in store told the security guard that she didn’t want to display it. He said it was OK really that’s for disabled persons not a for a family full of kids. He said he seen it but she didn’t open the boot at all. I’m sick of complaining about that store and no one seem interested but your willing to losses you customers. So this time I’ve put it on Facebook as your company not bothered.

    Your sincerely

I was sorry to learn that Asda will no longer be filling their shelves with Butchers Scamp dog food for some strange reason that no-one understands, in their Wolverhampton Store it was so popular that the shelves were emptied of it as soon as they stocked them. Can anyone tell me why?

Can I express my disgust at trafford parks asda mobile shop .I took my mobile phone in to the store because it was faulty .I was offered a replacement phone but would have to wait for a delivery of a new one that I was assured would be delivered on the Saturday. I rang on Saturday enquiring if it had been delivered, but was told it would be on the Tuesday. Having heard nothing I’ve just rang to be told it COULD be tomorrow. They are having trouble getting my make from the warehouse .to be honest I don’t know of many people with a Sony t3
I’ve know been without my phone for nearly a week ,I am amazed at this lack of helpful service
I will not be using your mobile shop in future to up grade my phone if I ever get it back

    Manager
    Asda

    To Whom it May Concern

I am writing to you regarding several incidents which have taken place over a period of time at the Royston branch, Midland Road, Royston, Barnsley, these incidents have been most hurtful and distressing for my father, (my mother who has now passed away) and the rest of our close family members. We have always been loyal customers since the Asda opened in Royston, and before this store opened we use to use the Barnsley Asda and before that we used the one in Athersley, so in total we have shopped at your stores for over 45 years.

Basically my father has been barred from shopping at the store in Royston because some members of staff have made accusations and are afraid of him!!!! Our family are disgusted by these allegations.

Firstly it would be helpful to give you some background information about my father. Before I actually go into detail about the incidents. My father is a 76 year old man who has grey hair and he is roughly 6 foot 2 inches tall, and recently we have had a number of trauma’s to deal with, which included having to move home etc. The most recent was my mother, she had a severe stroke which left her totally paralysed and in a wheelchair, and she could not even stand up on her own.

My father suffers with many illnesses, he suffers from manic depression along with what the mental health team call fixed false beliefs, and one of the tablets he has to take for this condition has then caused him to get Parkinson’s syndrome “like tremors” so he shakes terribly, he’s also had surgery for an aneurism and before this surgery he had a hip replacement. So he walks with a limp and uses a mobility scooter. He has low blood pressure which causes him to have dizzy spells. He also has early onset of vascular dementia. And finally he is deaf in both ears. Due to my fathers illnesses and my mum having a stroke they had to sell there house at the east end of Royston and move into a bungalow at the opposite end of Royston which in turn lead to mum and dad leaving all there friends and neighbours behind, this was stressful in its self as they had lived there for over 45 years. So basically my parents have found the move to be very lonely as they now only see myself and my sister, the odd visit from family members and a couple of there friends, the visits are few and rare which is understandable as they are the same age as my parents and have there own illnesses to deal with, what I am trying to say is that my father try’s to keep himself busy and occupied by doing the shopping and pottering about in the garden.

My father has continued to do the shopping and the staff at the Asda have always been very helpful and polite and so my father has found shopping there a delight as not only does he do the shopping he has also been able to communicate with staff and have a chat about day to day events such as the weather, the news etc. Then my dad ended up in the hospital for a week or so due to him getting a water infection , this effected his memory so the mental health team got involved in my fathers health and welfare, they had to change some of his medication and he now has carers twice daily just to ensure that he takes his medication. (Mum also had carers four times a day to see to all her needs). Everything has now settled down again and now my father is just reviewed every six months by the mental health team. Recently his tremors are much worse so he really struggles with using the self service machines, he struggles punching the numbers in to use his bank card, he even struggles putting shopping into shopping bags let alone anything else, he’s unsteady on his feet and should really use his walking stick but when he does he ends up forgetting it and leaves it behind. Even though he has all these illnesses to contend with he still try’s to be as independent as possible.

Regarding the incidents, I believe that part of the problem is a generation issue and perhaps your staff may need some kind of training in this area. My father is 76 years old and very old fashioned so to speak, for instance the bags of ice at the Asda are £1 and at the co-op they are £1.26p personally I would just buy from either shop, but my father would insist on buying it from the Asda, anything to save a few pence it all adds up as my father would say.

Now to the incidents and then hopefully everything I have written in this letter will help and then I am hoping to hear from you as to what action will be taken, I.e. An apology to my father and myself and my sister, any training you will provide to your staff and any compensation you see fit for my father.

The staff at the Asda have been really helpful with my father, helping him find items to purchase, helping him at the self service check out to putting his shopping away. It just so happens that the majority of the staff at Royston Asda happen to be young women, who wear name badges. So as my father as continued to shop there, he has built up aquatences with the members of staff, so when he went into the store he would ask where a certain member of staff was, or if he saw that particular member of staff on the check out then he would que there to get served by them and have a little bit of a conversation. Until one day my father came home and said that he had been asked to leave the store and that he had been barred because certain members of staff were frightened of him!!!! He just could not understand what he had done wrong and he was so very upset, hurt, and Baffled. Anyway I just told my father not to bother trying to do his shopping there and if that’s how they were going to treat him then it’s not worth bothering with and to spend his money elsewhere. I telephoned the store to speak to the manager and he couldn’t really give me a specific reason for barring my father, I found it to be blurred I still to this day don’t understand why!!! I don’t know if staff have labelled him in some way I don’t know, I was thinking that they thought he was some kind of pervert to be blunt “a dirty old man” but the manager didn’t want to say that over the phone, he just said that staff were uncomfortable ??? Then I found myself wondering if they were frightened of him in some way!!! Frightened of a 76 year old man!!! I am to this day still baffled by this issue, he’s 76 years old, he shakes terribly and is unsteady on his feet, I just find this whole scenario over the top and that your staff HAVE labelled him as some kind of pervert and frankly I am disgusted by the actions of your store in Royston, Barnsley.

Then the manager or assistant manager allowed my father back into the store, and my father was so pleased and happy that he was able to return to the store and he felt so bad about staff being scared of him that he wrote a letter to apologise to staff and he bought a rose for the lady he thought he had frightened, I am not sure if this as been perceived as something that it is not because low and behold the manager barred him again and said he should not have been allowed back in the store. My dad is a kind man and I feel that he has been totally misunderstood he has sent letters and flowers because he felt bad that he had frightened staff, so that was his way of apologising that’s all. And on the 2 occasions my father was barred this was done in front of all the people who were shopping in the Asda and the rest of the staff, my father was HUGLEY embarrassed and felt like he was treated like some kind of criminal.
My father is no dirty old man and nor is he a criminal, in fact my father if anything at all is a very quiet, shy, withdrawn man.

He has just recently lossed his wife (my mother) and he tried to go back to the Asda to do his shopping and the manager has threatened him with the police, how rediculous. Which is why I decided to write you this letter on his behalf.

I am going to send this letter to the branch at Royston, I am then going to post it on the Asda website to see what feedback I receive from other shoppers. But first and foremost i am going to send it to head office.
I look forward to receiving a reply to my letter promptly and with anticipation as to how to proceed with this matter as it all seems to be very blurred and I don’t see how you can just Barr someone from your store for nothing much in my eyes. Kind regards.

    Yours sincerely

my neighbour gets a home delivery and yet i have been told they don’t deliver to my adress. Called the store and was promised a call back. Still waiting! Time to change my supermarket. Finished with asda!

Hi, I have been shopping at the Aintree branch ormskirk industrial estate for a number of years , spending over £30 a week, on the last couple of visits I have buyt fresh meat and fish , having to wait for assistance ,don’t mind that must be busy, my last visit 1/09/16 I stood at the meat counter for 11mins with another gentleman customer, turning round I seen three assistances standing on the cooked meat counter(which was empty) not taking any notice of us, the other customer expressed his concern about the service and moved on, I waiting another few mins then moved on myself, having had that experience I return my shopping to the shelves and left , on the way home I called in at tesco , what a difference they are ,cant do to much for you , after year of shopping at asda I will now never return to any of there stores ,its tesco,s for me from now on.

I have been a loyal high spending customer of my local asda for over a decade,in recent years they have gone downhill dramatically,I myself have experienced a maggot in Asdas chosen by you deep pan BBQ chicken pizza to name just 1 food hygiene incident with there own branded products, and there has been countless occasions where the staff have been very rude,a couple of times it’s been so extreme that other members of staff who have overheard what was said have submitted complaints themselves and on 1 occasion the rude staff threatened the member of staff who stated he was making a complaint! And today my husband (whom is my official full time carer as I’m registered disabled) went to asda for me as he does daily and has done for 8+years,he paid for my shopping on my card as usual and then went to the tobacconist counter to get my tobacco (I’m a smoker for my sins) and the tobacconist saw the debit card in his hand and told him they don’t have what he asked for, although my husband could clearly see it so he pointed it out to the tobacconist and she pulled the shutters down and again said they don’t have it,so my husband asked to speak to the manager (Devinder Singh, manager of Asda darlaston branch) as my husband has had numerous problems like this with the tobacconist who was serving today, and as soon as the manager arrived the tobacconist whispered something to the manager and the manager said they wouldn’t serve my husband because he’s using a card! As I stated we have been high spending customers of our local Asda for over a decade and this was the first time that ANYONE in ANY store/shop has refused to accept my debit card, neither the tobacconist or the manager even looked at the card except when the tobacconist looked at it in my husbands hand as he stood in the queue waiting to be served, plus with debit cards you can ONLY spend what is actually clear in your account but then they never even attempted a transaction, and my husband had literally just left the self service tills where he used the card to pay for my shopping with no problems and we’ve bought tobacco products from this exact asda every single week for over a decade without any of this rigmarole and humiliation!
We have been great customers to asda (we have foiled shoplifters and even recovered the stolen goods on many occasions when the staff and security were clueless that anything was happening or had happened, and we have tolerated a LOT,but this is the very last straw,we will NOT be returning and putting money in Asdas pocket to be treated this way,I will be making a formal complaint to Asdas head office to give them just one solitary chance to try and fix this somehow, but from this moment I would crawl across the floor for 3miles to go to tesco or Iceland rather than go 15minutes up the road to my local Asda anymore,my husband has devoted every day to caring for me,which believe me is NOT easy and I’m not exactly the easiest person to live with either, but he does literally everything for me without so much as a moan or a thought for himself,so I will NOT tolerate ANYONE treating or humiliating my husband like this,he did nothing wrong except try to buy a stocked item from a store, forgive me if I’m wrong but isn’t that what stores are for or do asda have some warped notions on business ethics that the rest of the world doesn’t know about, they’re already losing millions of customers, just google “asda complaints” to see what I’m referring to,yes asda are cheap but in this case you really do get what you pay for!
    Rant over 😉

For over a month trying to get in touch with manager of Radcliffe store. Customer service in store rings in unanswered until after 20 plus minutes I give up or else it cuts off. The other number similarly does the same or else the call handler tries to transfer me to the store with no success. Thursday night at 1pm approx I had success and night manager promised to leave a message for the manager who has failed to contact me. Over 2 months ago I filled in the compaints book .So I now am objecting to their failure to respond plus failure to treat my original written complaint.

Making a special evening meal tonight for my husband, and myself Bought Rump steak ,and trimmings ,mushrooms onions, tomatoes baby potatoes along with the rest of shopping from asda Queensferry . I live about fifteen miles away from this asda .So I only shop there once every two weeks . Meal cooked .My husband took his first bite of steak said it was delicious. Then I cut my first piece from steak yummy I though,O no there was a blonde hair about twelve inches long hanging from it .my hair and my husband’s hair are short and grey No one else lives in the house .The steak was prepact. The hair was definitely packed with steak. There was no way I could eat any of my meal ,I am in the food business my self ,and realise this can happen when workers are not wearing the appropriate head wear .I would appreciate asda relaying my complaint to food packers ,because of the distance between asda and my home I will not be returning food items, also it is Sunday tomorrow and I will be attending a christening Will be waiting for your reply

I shopped at the Caerphilly store yesterday the 5th September the till went wrong and could not complete my purchases I had put my card number in and it said ok the manager then scanned my purchases again on another till and both transactions are showing pending on my bank

This is being dealt with no problem BUT

there was signs at all tills stating iTunes vouchers were reduced from 25 pounds to 21 .25 I had put one in my basket when this was scanned I queried and the operator looked at the sign and the offer ended on the 4 the I said the signs should have been took down she called someone over and he called the manager who said let me have the reduction she cancelled in the meantime me being cheeks said I will have 2 the boy reached behind her and gave me one the operator then manually input in the till 2X 21.25 not realising that she needed to scan both cards to activate them the one went on my iPad but the other one Apple said contact vendor but when I went back they could not do anything as I have no receipt

When the first till failed this took about half an hour or more to sort for some reason the manager said put the cards in your bag not to confuse matters
I went back when I looked on my bank and saw both bills pending I saw the store manager who is sorting it I told her the larger bill should stand and the smaller bill needs to be cancelled I hope this happens soon in the meantime please tell me what to do about the iTunes card which I will pay for when the charge clears my bank but is useless
I have tried quite a few times to contact the store by phone but no answer and when I went back yesterday I held up the Q in enquires for quite a long time

I hope you understood the rambling on and can you tell me what to do next

Hi, I write this with great disappointment as a regular customer,
My son brought a X BOX controller for his machine, after a day it started to make a noise so I told him to take it back, he took it back to the Weston super mare store from where he got it and took it to the customer services desk, explained what the problem was and the head of music was called over (Andrea Dunning) she told my son they will not change it as he has returned faulty goods before?? And they haven’t got any in stock any way, my son said yes you have as he already checked she NO, managers decision.
An upset son came out to the car and told me what had happened, I took it back in and asked the girl on customer service deck could I speak to the store manager (Bart De Burgh) or the head of music to discuss this matter, it was now about 21.30, she phoned them and was told they were in a meeting and the decision hasn’t changed, I asked for their names and of the area manager so I can report this to trading standards as they were refusing to change or refund faulty goods after a day, miraculously the meeting had finished and member of staff came over and said she would be happy to complete the refund, really I wanted a replacement but accepted the refund.
I find this very poor customer relations and poor management decisions toward a 14 year old boy and then towards me for only trying to return faulty goods, I will think again before using this store again !!

I trust these persons will be spoken too and a reply from yourselves will be welcomed

I am absolutely disgusted by Lancaster store.I bought a leg of lamb (about £15.00) in money on the 9/9/16 to have for Sunday dinner(which would be 11/9/16.I took it out my fridge to find out it went out of date on the 10/9/16….1 days date…I telephoned customer service Lancaster to be told it’s my job to make sure the dates are ok.The staff we’re abrupt n rude. What happened to the customer is rite! I spend £150 a week on avarage, plus any extras I go in for…Asda needs to check stock dates and make sure stock rotation is done properly, because on numerous occasions dates are older at the back then the front…all in all you need to take a close look at your stores.

    Sir or Madam
I amvery concerned with an article I have read today regarding Halal meat being sold in Asda stores.

Although I found the process of Halal meat production extremely cruel, barbaric and something which should not ve allowed in this country. I do understand from a business stand point why you would wish to sell it. I would like your assurance that any meat that is produced using Halal and sold in Asda stores in labeled in a very visible format enabling myself not to purchase it by mistake.

I am keeping an eye the rest but this is not up to this is not up to the standard I have come to expect. Your Shrewsbury store is usually on the ball. The service is excellent and I regard any fall in standards tas unacceptable especially where food is concerned. We are old age pensioners and earnestly count the costs. Thank you for your kind attention this matter.

Hi, so yesterday I bought some peaches from Asda in Rawtenstall, Rossendale.
So today I ate one and found maggots inside. It made me violently sick, it was disgusting. I went to complain today and spoke to ‘Sue’ and ‘Hannah’ at customer services.
They said that they do not take responsibility for it and that it is ‘nature’. I was made to feel like I had nothing to complain about.
I was offered a £5 voucher as a gesture of goodwill, I declined. I’m so angry, it was insulting.

I have NEVER had such bad customer service in my life I ordered on George.com on the 14th September and paid for next day delivery 1 item from my order turned up and the other 5 never, today is the 21st and I still have not received my items. I have had to phone every day to be lied to fobbed off and left non the wiser as to where or when I am likely to get anything,I have even spoke to someone at head office who cannot help I feel I have had £60 STOLEN from me as no one will resolve my issue. I have spent ages on the phone promised days and times of returned phone calls and emails that have never happened, promised that my delivery had been sorted a LIE, will NEVER reccomend GEORGE.COM to anyone as it has to be the WORST EXPERIENCE I have EVER had and still no further foward WHAT A JOKE . I had to press one star to be able to leave this review but I definitely do not rate this one star or any stars

Can I thank &ask for recognition for a colleague at the Hyson Green store in Nottingham? Despite numerous enquiries re stock ‘on offer’, but none in warehouse, Joanne Rudyj-Fletcher was polite, informative and up-to-date regarding the warehouse situation. Joanne was a pleasure to talk to, and most helpful regarding what to do next, providing her name and extension number for a follow up call. I feel in these days of constant complaints, recognition of a job continually well done, should be recognised and rewarded. Thank you for your time on this matter.

    ASDA  CAR PARK SCAM.
I’d like to warn everyone of a possible car park scam at ASDA, Chorley.

If you park there you are at risk of the operators stitching together photos of your car on separate days then charging you a £70 fee for illegal parking.

This happened to us last week and complaining to ASDA is futile.

Unless you have £70 you are happy to throw away, I would suggest you park somewhere else.

    Re Asda Summerston/Maryhill (Glasgow)

Asda Customer Services are a joke. The following will show the calibre of people they employ. I was rushed and took my handful of items to one of their attended tills. The ‘wummin’, while serving me, took her ‘chuggy’ (chewing gum) out of her ‘gob’ and then proceeded to serve me. ‘Pure dead boggin by ra way’ which translates as YUCK!

On hearing this remark I went straight to the toilets to see, and yes there was a hole on the seem where it hadn’t been sewn properly I have a photo Showing it . Two weeks ago I bought some Smart Price Lemon Curd at 22p per jar. Today I saw that it is now priced at 29p per jar. The same item, same store and no change in recipe. Please justify a price hike of over 25%. I shall now shop elsewhere. Do not assume that shoppers don’t notice changes in prices.

I am most disappointed in your shop at Washington Tyne and Wear. I purchased a 2 litre of cravendale milk yesterday however on leaving the store realised it was leaking all over my bag. I returned to complain however the assistant I spoke to offered no apology. I asked for a plastic bag to put my wet bag in only to be told she would normally have to charge for it and if anyone asks say I paid,5p .!! I then took it to customer service who sent me to get another no apology nothing. I was inconvenienced by having to return but your staff were not in the least interested only in carrying on their conversations. I do my weekly shop at at Asda as well as clothes shop but this incident has made me feel I will shop elsewhere because of the attitude of your staff.

A Facebook post suggests a Manchester store removed a poppy tribute due to a complaint. I respectfully request that it is replaced immediately. Those who live in this country should respect the sacrifice made by others so that we can have the freedom we enjoy, and live as free as we do.

I understand from a comment and photo on face book that as a result of ONE complaint a poppy display has been removed from one of your stores in Manchester. Can you please clarify if this so and if only one complaint why you have disrespected our service peronel for a single persons satisfaction. Regardless of the complaint the display should be put back as an acknowledgement of our brave forces.

    To whom this may concern.
I have just read something on facebook regarding a store in manchester. Apparently they had a display for the poppy appeal in their store and one person made a complaint and it was removed. Now correct me if i am wrong but i thought this was england and that we honoured our war dead. Now i do not know what nationality the person who made the complaint but they should have been told that we do this every year and if you do not like it, tough.
Get a backbone and stand your ground lets honour these war heroes like they should be. Keep the displays.

Just returned from asda without a purchase of a kettle they would not sell me the display model. After spending 10min locking for someone for help a member of staff came with a gun and scanned the label whitch did not work then went through the back to check he was gone no more than 20sec and told me they only have that display one then he told me it was company policy not to sell it. I then asked him to get me a member of management . Again I waited 10min for him to come back to be told I would have to go to customers service desk to meet a member of management . To me this utter ignorance and waited a further five min for her to appear . I was then told they do not sell any item from display as its against the law. I have bought goods from display in asda and other retailers in the passed. The staff when you find them were not helpful at all . This and a few other thinks with asda have left me shopping in other retailers

I visited Goole Asda store today and wasn’t very happy, the first thing you don’t have wheelchair trolleys in Goole so I had to resort to a basket on my dads knee, unfortunately the only baskets in Goole store are the ones with wheels underneath so they made the visit a very uncomfortable one. Secondly I wanted to purchase a few smart price products which were nowhere to be found. Lastly I asked the store manager why there were no wheelchair trolleys and he was a little abrupt and just said there’s no need for them, then when I asked why there isn’t any smart price products in store he just said ” it’s Goole if you want smart price go to Doncaster or Scunthorpe” I think his attitude stinks and he’s in serious need of customer service training it doesn’t cost or hurt to be civil to your customers. I have shopped at Asda for many years, unfortunately I can no longer go to larger stores and have relied on the store in Goole, I will seriously consider changing my shopping habits now.

    Dear sir/madam.
I have been using ASDA supermarket at Hollingbury Brighton since it opened. Over the past year or so I have noticed that the store has gone rapidly down hill. The fruit and veg department is just disgraceful. The veg is just chucked out, stock not checked for quality, bad produce on show and the range is very limited.
The staff are not helpful at all and this is rude and just basicly useless. The counter staff are helpful, but quite a lot of time you go there some off the fresh counters are not opened, when you talk to the staff they just tell you they have not enough work colleagues.
The management, well we’re shall I start. You do this huddel thing, we used to call it facing up. Is it ASDA requirements that down an aisle the managers all work together? You tend to all they do is winge and moan whilst down other aisles normal staff just amble around.
And last off all. Regarding fresh counters, when senior management look at a fresh counter which is not opened for they ask themselves, why is this? we are losing money and customers. I sure ASDA can not afford this as a company.
Would love to hear your comments because at the moment ASDA Hollingbury is not a good shop to shop in.

Today I went into Gillingham Dorset Asda store only to find – not for the first time – there was no Tassimo Cadbury Chocolate on the shelves. This product sells extremely quickly from this store and they are only able to order 10 packets at a time to restock the shelves. I buy this product on a regular basis as this is our bedtime drink and would very much like to continue to do so – if you would allow Gillingham Dorset store to stock more.

    Hi

I am astonished at shocked at the incompetence of some of your staff. I placed an order for a Brita Fill Go bottle in pink. I was sent a purple one.

It took me approximately an hour on the customer services phone line to arrange a pick and redelivery of a pink one. The women could not speak properly and I had to repeat my address to her more than three times as well as repeat the problem to here more than four times. It really should not be that hard to understand.

I have also mentioned it on twitter to see if I could try and ensure it was getting picked up and the correct one would be delivered, yet I still received another purple one, it failed to amaze me at the incompetence of the staff.

I would very much appreciate a response to this message.

I purchased a Now that’s what I call pop, item number 088875146442L, in the Beehive branch of Asda Cambridge on Saturday the 15th Oct 16
My wife purchased this item at the same time in another store, on Friday unbeknown to me, as this is surplus to our requirements, I decided to take the item to my Local Asda store in Newmarket, the sales lady stated that our policy is that we have been instructed not to take items back, i then made it a
point to inform her that the item has its security seal and there wrapping has not been undone, and statutory rights apply.
I returned home an called the Asda at the Beehive centre Cambridge, and spoke to a Hannah Weavers the Customer Trading Manager, and she informed me that the practice in Newmarket is incorrect, and should be addressed, she agreed with me that Statutory tights apply, and surely some customer goodwill.
I returned to the Newmarket Branch and spoke to another staff member, who informed me that we have been instructed that we are not to take any retuns, as it is policy.
Clearly there is a problem, a training need for both Newmarket store Manager and staff. And pretty awful customer experience.
I would like a reply on this matter please.

I would like to complain about your new customer service line. Now you have moved it to Malaysia it is a disaster. You have to repeat everything to the person on the other end of the line and you can’t understand them. The service line was excellent when you had it in the UK. Why have you changed it. Since there was a “breakdown” at our usual store (Hull, Dairycoates) it has been chaos. We have dealt with you on line for a number of years but if its going to continue like this we will be transferring our custom to one of the other supermarkets.

    Hi there,

My father had a bad fall in your Newark store on the 5th September this year and sustained cracked ribs and a sprained knee. He fell over some baskets left in front of the lifts. They were in the basket holder with wheels and had somehow found their way in front of the lifts. Dad didn’t want to make a fuss as he was embarrassed at the time and didn’t want an ambulance but over the next few days it became apparent that he had sustained some injuries. He has been unable to get into the bath and walking has now become a problem for him. He did attend A & E on the Sunday due to the pain he was experiencing. He has also had to visit his GP due to problems with his knee. Despite the store telling dad that somebody would be in touch with him nobody has followed this up other than getting his details. I myself asked to speak to the manager who was away on holiday so I had to speak to a lady from HR. She assured me that somebody would be in touch with my father over the next 2 weeks. Nobody has contacted my dad and we are left feeling very upset about the level of concern that has been shown to my father.

My father is called Ian Dunlop (sometimes called John)
He is now 83 years old He is also diabetic
His address is 24 Lilac Close, Newark, Notts, NG24 4LD

    Hi

I have to note my unhappiness with a purchase I made of two Asda protect toothbrushes. One for me and one for my son, who is away from at university at the moment. At the time when these were purchased I also bought replacement heads to keep me going for some time and when I saw them on offer early this year I purchased many more. Now I have used all these an looking for replacement I see that the item has now been withdrawn. ( no wonder the heads were being sold on offer) These toothbrushes are now basically redundant as I cannot purchase other heads to fit them.

Well that was a waste of money that has been !! I have shopped in Asda for many years and have been happy to purchase Asda own products in the past I will sincerely rethink this in the future.

I see you are now doing a different Asda branded toothbrush, would the heads fit your old version?

I would appreciate a speedy reply in regards to how I can get heads to fit these toothbrushes before I have to bin these..

    Thanks

    Dear George at Asda

COMPLAINT – ORDER REF 34349011; COMPLAINT REF PL14907420X

I ordered a microwave, which was delivered to my sister’s address at XXX XXX on 07/09/2016. However, it was unsuitable so I contacted George in order to return it but it still hasn’t been collected.

I have been given three collection dates. On the first collection date no one showed up and my sister was at home all day.

I then requested a second collection date after 7pm as there wouldn’t be anyone at home before then, which I explained to George customer service, but Yodel attempted to collect the item in the afternoon instead.

I then contacted George to arrange a third collection and explained yet again that no one would be available before 7pm, however Yodel didn’t show up anyway.

Even though I’d already received the refund, I’ve phoned George.com ten times, I’ve emailed George.com twice and I’ve emailed Yodel twice. In addition, to this I’ve emailed George.com and Yodel together an additional five times.

I phoned George at 10.30am on Tuesday 20/09/16 in order to speak to a manager or to Head Office. However, I was told that I couldn’t speak to anyone because the systems were down and I should phone back in two hours.

I phoned back again at 5.35 pm and asked to speak to a manager. I was told again that the systems were down and that I still couldn’t speak to anyone.

I also asked to speak to Head Office and was given this contact number: 0800 952 0003. I believe this number is fake as it goes through to a recorded message that says “Sorry, the number you have called is not available.”

In addition, I do not believe that the systems were down as they stated.

The refund for the microwave was received on 20/09/09 and the refund was processed the week before, yet I have still made every attempt to have it collected.

I’ve phoned George.com ten times, I’ve emailed George.com twice and I’ve emailed Yodel twice. In addition, to this I’ve emailed George.com and Yodel together an additional five times.

The George customer service agents who dealt with my case (excluding the person who processed the refund) were obviously unaware that I had already been refunded, otherwise they would have ensured the item was collected.

I have heard from George once on 24/09/16 since the last time I phoned them. I haven’t heard from George or Yodel since then.

I have obviously been classified as a difficult customer by George, but a difficult customer would not keep trying to get an item collected if the refund for it had already been processed.

We are not willing to wait indefinitely. We expect to be contacted with a collection soon that is acceptable to us otherwise the item will no longer be made available for collection.

Could you please contact me at your earliest convenience.

I went to Asda green road on Monday this week to buy bacon. To my utter surprise some of the bacon on display was dated Oct 5th! I mentioned this to the manager, he asked if I had misread the date, on looking he grabbed the box containing the bacon and dashed off without a thank you. Bad manners, I may be aged but not blind and a thank you would have prevented this comment.

It’s been three weeks now since I was banned from the Chelmsley Wood Store and yet despite my co-operating with the security and management personnel and submitting three letters of explanation and support from myself my ex husband and my current partner who is also my carer, I have still not been properly contacted by the store, twice they’ve promised me a return phone call yesterday and last Thursday too, I have also sent you a detailed 8 page letter clearly outlining the situation and how I feel badly treated by the security guard in question who I firmly believe acted illegally and immorally by forcing me to sign the ban letter whilst I was under the influence of treble the amount of medication and two days of insomnia which induced the Bipolar Disorder High that I was on, there is CCTV footage of me price sticker swapping, but it’s clear that I was out of my head and actually fell asleep in the security office. The goods in question never left the store and the items I did purchase tallied up with my till receipt, not that I got an apology for that in fact my jewellery items were just left on a chair instead of being returned to me. I have been waiting for the store manager or yourselves at HQ to contact me. It’s been clearly explained that this is Discrimination under the Disability Discrimination Act against myself and my son who is severely Autistic and looks forward to his quality time with me Saturday afternoons going around Chelmsley Wood and visiting ASDA, so obviously I can’t explain to him why I can’t go there because he wouldn’t understand. It is also as we,ve stated in the letters the only bit of respite from our Son that my ex husband receives 3-4 hours a week. My number again is 07448488345. Please get back to me and see if you can sort this out. All it’s done is make my Mental health and physical health worsen as I also have Diabetes Type two High blood pressure and Antisocial personality disorder and high anxiety disorder, not to mention the panic attacks and the fits and shakes that I get.

I am writing you to congratulate your staff at your Small Heath Branch, Birmingham. I have been an Asda customer for many years, have drifted to other supermarkets…..but have always done my main weekly at Small Heath. When I went into store today, I was pleasantly surprised….I thought the store had had a facelift. What took me aback was the fruit and vegetable isle. EVERYTHING was laid out beautifully, extremely well presented, nicely stacked/packed, rubbish etc on the floor, the isles were clear no surplus stock left waiting to be put out. Lovely. It was a pleasure to be able to look/see produce without having to “rummage”. The added bonus was that the heating was on…….lovely.

I would be most grateful if you could contact the store themselves to let them know that their hardwork has been noticed and appreciated.

I shall continue to shop at Small Heath……..only it will be a pleasure and not a chore.

    Yours

    Kim Donnelly

Went into Cortonwood asda living today and was no 5p bags to purchase at self checkout , I asked an adviser if I could purchase one and was told to add a bag on self checkout then to go to the electrical manned till to show receipt to prove I purchased one and then they would give me one . When I told her that it was a bad policy she told me that she didn’t make rules . I think this asda should rethink this policy , I was lucky the manned till wasn’t busy so I didn’t have to wait long to get this bag . Not acceptable asda

An absolute disgrace that Coatbridge Asda store did not recognise the 11am two minute silence , I asked to speak to the manager,( Dougie ) presented himself as Manager, I told him I was disgusted that he hadn’t recognised the 2 minute silence, he tried to say the system wasn’t working, but I know this to be untrue as radio music played as I spoke with him, and he also said an announcement had been made 5 mins prior to the silence, ( thought he said it wasn’t working). I told him that was not true as I’d been waiting since 10.45am for the silence i have reported this to my local paper, this was so disrespectful and no excuse will rectify what happened, my son was a soldier in Iraq, he and soldiers past and present deserved there 2 minutes . This has saddened me to the core.

After waiting for over 3 weeks, without any help or support, or returned phone calls from ASDA Chelmsley Wood even being complained at, for entering the store, just to ask to speak to management and with no explanation, it’s been decided that the Ban imposed on me, illegally by the way, as one can’t be made to sign anything legally binding, without being able to read it first, and under the influence of drugs/medication or in the middle of a Manic episode, as consent cannot be given by the individual concerned due to the state that they are in, just as I didn’t consent to having my photo taken also, but after all the time it has taken, tonight after waiting all day yet again for a phone call, I decided to phone the store only to be told that the Ban will not be lifted. I have been more than patient but I am seeking to get the Ban lifted by whatever means possible and if it is not lifted very soon, it’ll mean that I will be using my local MP and the Press and all the Mental Health and Disability Charities to support me, being left with no choice. I have been offered no explanation as to the length of time it has taken, offered no apology for the delay, or lack of communication if anything it should be I, who should be getting the apologies for the delay in responding and the high level of anxiety and stress that has caused me a lot of trouble with my Diabetes and my Mental Health Problems. I have fully co-operated with the request to put my case in writing, even getting my ex husband and my partner/carer to write a letter each in support and evidence, the three letters were included in one envelope and delivered to the store by my ex husband in person within two days of receiving the voice mail telling me to do so. Your staff at Chelmsley Wood know me and my Autistic Son very well and have seen us most Saturdays for several years now. So as a loyal customer for many years, why should this one incident, which was clearly illogical due to the amount of drugs that I had taken that day on top of two days of Insomnia get me banned indefinitely? It makes even less sense than my own actions that led to the Ban in the first place, at least my behaviour is excusable and has been explained several times over and over again, but you can’t account for the behaviour and the lies told to me or the inexplicable delay in your Chelmsley Wood Staff responding to me after all this time. I expect the Ban to be lifted immediately and to be offered an apology and some compensation for the stress and costs incurred by this delay and damage to my Mental and Physical Health. I’ve spent a lot of time and effort and money in phoning and visiting the store itself and contacting yourselves at HQ. Please let me know that you are prepared to overrule the Ban decision. As its blatant Discrimination under the DDA and the Mental Health Act, as in banning me you also discriminate against my Autistic Son and His Father who also suffers from Depression and is taking medication for it. We have explained that it is his only respite from our Son for the few hours my Son and I are in the Chelmsley Wood shopping area. And he clearly needs those few hours of quiet time to do as he pleases. Looking after our Son is very demanding on all accounts. Also it stops me from being able to visit the store with my Daughter and her Father, not even to use the café or the toilets. Once again my number is 07448488345. Thank you again, and I hope you can help me with resolving this issue. I remain in faith, Fay-Amie Goodwin.

I buy some shopping in Asad small Heath Birmingham when I paid it full Mony but screen showing I paid it less 5pound.then I speak with member of staff and member of staff speak with security Gaurd. The security Gaurd didn’t checked any cctv and come to with me argument with 6to7 minutes like he told me I didn’t paid it full Mony but my argument was I paid it full Mony lot of people’s over their. Then I speak with store manger all situations and she told me wait here and she checked it cctv and after a few minutes again security Gaurd comes to near my position and hoooo you paid it full Mony and one member of staff Asad give me back my 5pound.
BUT MY Question IS THAT WHO IS RESPONSIBLE WHEN LOTS OF People AROUD ME AND SECURITY GAURD PROVED THAT I AM SPEAKING A LAYER AND I FEEL MYSELF Very INSULT .BUT HE didn’t proved it.WHO COULD BE TAKE ACTION AGAINST THE SECURITY Guard.

As a former American retail Management I am disgusted with Asda and their disgraceful customer service, Exhorbinant prices and the slowest check out system, long lines of customers left waiting for long periods of time in all the understaffed units as they tell customers yet one can see staff standing around doing nothing or delaying customers with idle chat which further delays customers. There are so many problems too numerous to list here. Internet is full of dissatisfied customer complaints where no one addresses or compensate for losses and trauma and expenses incurred by Asda which are the Wall Mart supermarket chain USA. Time for all customers to boycott Asda and ensure publicity is more expanded in order to shame the CEO’s Greedy ways and Lack of Proper Management training it seems they never had. My retail career training was obviously more professional where I and my colleagues would never ever stand for this way of running a business. My customers were always well looked after which is still the case today and never ripped off with Exhorbinant prices and rude staff and management. Time all UK supermarkets and other retailers were either boycotted plus named and shamed see how long they will last with no customers even a mentally challenged person knows the answer.

Having been a customer at your Asda store in the bridge centre Fratton for many years I have never encountered a problem such as this. It is convenient having a selection of shops under one roof with on site parking in the past past whatever purchase I made from any of the shops I could get money back for my car park ticket at customer service in Asda. However I have I have been into Iceland and done my weekly shop to then go into Asda customer service to get my car park ticket refunded to be told I now have to make a purchase of at least £2 in Asda to get my parking money back. Can you please clarify as to why this is now the case as the car park ticket states on the back bridge center

    Dear Sir/Madam.
I have just returned from your Hollingbury store near Brighton. And once again the counters did not have many staff members serving. Your staff who are working seem to be a bit devalued, the senior management in the store are quite frankly poor. When I was a manager for Waitrose I would wont to know why if a department was not open to serve the public.
I’m sure once again you will not answer my email with the answer to my question. This just goes to prove as a company your values to your customers and staff is very inadequate.

I have called your help desk regarding not being able to check my receipts after shopping on the price guarantee. I have made about 190 calls and every time get told that there is nothing wrong with my email. I get emails from you but I cannot check my receipt on the system it says that it does not recognise my email address. I have tried to register with the online groceries as this is what I was told to do and again it will not let me do this as it says that my email is already on the system but how come I cannot get to check my receipt. I shop at Asda every week and I honestly feel that I am being let down by Asda as nobody wants to know. I have today again contacted the help desk only to be told that I have to use another email address I cannot do this as I only have one email address.
I would be grateful if this would be sorted out as I feel that I am being pushed from pillow to post with my complaint.

I came home last night around 9.40pm I turned onto Vere Avenue in Sutton in Ashfield Notts and could not get down the street as the ASDA delivery man had parked right in the middle of the street. We waited a few minutes, he then put is hand up to say he’d be 2 minutes, however I cannot understand why he had blocked the road off as there was a massive space that he could have parked in where he didn’t have to block the road off. He continued to walk up and down the path several times then putting stuff back in the van with no care in the world like he had all day. He got back in his van then waved us to move into the space that really he should have parked in !!! then got out the van and said are you going to move over we had waited several minutes for him and out of courtesy surley he should have given way,he then got back in his van and just sat there. I went over to his van and asked why he couldn’t just pull into the space which he said he would have hit the car at the side of him. Well i’m sorry i’m not a very confident driver but even I could have moved his van into the space, he obviously just couldn’t be bothered to walk a few doors down form where the space was so decided to block off the road, what if I had been an emergency vehicle. Surely your drivers are trained to park in big spaces and walk a little rather than blocking roads off, his attitude was disgusting and not a good example for your store.
