I would like to express my annoyance and anger at the way your cinema chain is run! On Sunday May 3rd my partner and i bought 2 tickets for the new Avengers film (the 11.20 2D show) after queing at the concession stand for the tickets and not the actual box office for over 20mins due to lack of staff that were multitasking by selling food as well as tickets (badly) we were told that the screen was almost full, we were put at the front row despite many empty seats once in the cinema. I returned to the box Office and requested to move as but i was met with a resounding “no” and did we want a refund (no apology,no empathy). We had travelled 15 miles so I declined a refund as that was not the point. 10 minutes into the film we decided to move into one of the many empty seats at the centre of the screen as we could not see a thing that was going on ( a row of 4 seats were empty in the row, 3 empty the row infront and 2 further down???!!!) as too did other people sitting at the front. This was a poor cinema experience and would like to hear your explanation/policy as to why SO many seats were available, if these were pre-booked seats where were the people??? Poor service, poor cinema, bad organisation!! This is not the first time i have experienced poor service at Cineworld Nottingham but it WILL be the last!

      Dear sir/madam

Went to the cinema last night 19/12/15 at cine world Mary Ann street Cardiff to watch Star Wars. I asked times for next showing and was given the option of 6.00 3D Or 6.30 2D . My husband was parking the car I established 6 o clock viewing would have approx 20 minutes of trailers so at 3 minutes past 6 bought 2 tickets for 6 o’clock performance at cost of £24.40. We went to 3rd floor handed our tickets to usher who directed us to cinema first right , entered cinema at 6.18 was disappointed film had already started but assumed we had only missed acouple minutes . It has become apparent we missed a good half hour of the film, we entered as fin and Ray were running from an explosion and boarded the millennium falcon….
On closer inspection the tickets sold to us were for the 5.20 showing !Why would I buy tickets for 5.20 show at 3 mins past 6.? I can provide tickets and proof of payment the numbers appearing under the bar code on tickets are 02633898, Till: UCCARBOXO3
Would you please consider reimbursing the cost of the tickets or supplying us with complimentary tickets so that we can see the film in full. Feel a bit cheated…
Look forward to your reply, please confirm receipt of this e-mail.

      Yours faithfully
      Mrs c Williams

Disgusting customer service from the unlimited card holder team , I have never felt so messed around in life , I wasted one of my days on the phone to them for 2 hours for then the manager of the team to hang up on me and then when I phone him straight back he was in the toilet and I said I would wait , which then took 15 mins to get bk to me to tell me he was busy. I was told I couldn’t make a outstanding payment because it was out of there hands and then a week or so later I received a email from the unlimited card holder team saying sorry for the inconvenience but you do have a outstanding balance to pay ?

I am so sick of it!! I pay for my cineworld pass so that I can go and see a lot of films, but I can’t anymore, because the nearest cinema to me is Feltham, the cinema itself is situated near Hounslow which has a heavily populated Indian/Pakistan community, but go in the other direction more of the surrounding areas don’t, there are 14 screens, this week 4 have English speaking films and 10 are in different languages, I am so peed off, I understand that Cineworld needs to cater for other cultures, that is fine and not my grievance, but instead of being fair and 7 out of the 10 screens being English language and 7 foreign language, it’s always 8, 9 or 10 in foreign language, I thought I lived in a country of equality, that isn’t equal, what exactly am I paying for each month? The way it has been going I will be left with one English speaking film a week?! I miss out on seeing loads of English language films, it isn’t fair, someone needs to get their geography facts checked, only Hounslow, one area near to the cinema isn’t populated with mainly English speaking people, do all of us in Ashford, Sunbury, Hampton, Hanworth, Shepperton, Upper Halliford, Twickenham and Teddington not even exist then? Are we actually invisible, figments of someone’s imagination?! Even Feltham itself is a divided community because foreign an English speaking people. I hate the fact that when anyone says anything like this the label racist is stuck on it, I am not being racist, I am asking for equality, an even number of screens showing films to cater for both peoples languages, it takes the micky, what am I paying for exactly?….or do I need to learn a different language to get my money’s worth?!

So annoyed with cineworld I applied for an unlimited card. When I recived it I went to use it and it crashed the till and the member of staff said that the card won’t work after me paying for it and had months left to pay for it. I then canceld my direct debit (because there’s no point paying for something that doesn’t work) then months later I recived a letter off a dept company saying I own £70! I have paid £20 off it but haven’t paid anything since as I shouldn’t really have to! And I haven’t had a letter since to say I owe money. Just worried incase I get a letter after about a year to say I owe loads of money! (As they add £10 every month)

On the 6th October I tried to book ticket online their was fault in you website and charge me 3x but did not get tickets. Since then I have send all the documents to have refund. I have contacted customer service several times and always making excuses. Despite of receiving two emails one on 20th October from John say your refund£53.80 has been issued but did not receive. Contacted them again second email received on 4th November from Adam saying your refund has been issued. Since than contacted them twice again no solid answer keep saying being process. Spoken to Adam on the phone said send me your statement again, I said why did you lie in the email saying your payment has been issued. I am so frustrated and taking this further. I would like Manager to respond to my email WHY YOU ARE NOT REFUNDING MY MONEY. also request to other customers try not to book tickets on line . There is so many customers fighting for their hard earn money.

I am writing to voice my family’s disappointment at our visit to the new
Cineworld multiplex cinema, Friars walk, Newport. For my Husbands Birthday 20/11/15 we booked online to see the new James Bond film ‘Spectre
at 7.30pm. We booked 4 seats together, in theatre 8, seats 12-15. However when we arrived & sat Down we found the film wasn’t the only ‘Spectre’ seat 15 did not exist. This was confirmed by cinema staff who also informed us the theatre was full except for a few seats in front row. They gave us a full refund and said we still watch the film if one of us sat in front row. My daughter graciously offered to do this but after 5 minutes realised she couldn’t see the screen fro this seat. She decided to leave the cinema and visit a friend who luckily lived close by and meet us when the film finished. As you can imagine this spoils the whole visit. Also is it normal for the cinema to turn the lights on 10 minutes before the end of a film?

The film I booked for a birthday treat, was cancelled without my knowledge. We made a special trip out with a meal, to be told ‘the film was cancelled’ at the booking office. We went home disappointed and I was embarrassed as it was supposed to be a special treat for my husband’s birthday. I am very unhappy about our treatment by Cineworld, not your staff, they were apologetic!

Considering the cost of going to the cinema you could at least employ an adequate amount of staff.Standing in a queue for 45mins ,missing nearly 20mins of the film due to having to stand in the same queue as food sales is a lack of forsite and computance on who’s ever idea it was to cease opening the main booking desks.Luckily there is the “Showcase Cinema” in the near vicinity hopefully a number of your customers will show their annoyance of such poor customer service and vote with their feet.

On 30/12/15 I visited Cineworld Wandsworth. I wasn’t allowed in even though I had a ticket. It seems I had made a mistake when booking. It was an honest mistake. I had paid for my ticket and there was plenty of room in the cinema. So the manageress used her discretion and refused entry.
Do you want customers or not ?

The new seats at your cinema at the iMac screen Enfield are too high for short adults to see over the back of. I went there yesterday with a party of four adults and two of us simply could not see the bottom half of the screen

Been unfairly treated and made to feel like nothing. I applied for a job at the new Loughborough Cineworld as Supervisor and received a call within a week of applying and was given an interview date and time. Went to the interview and 3 days later got offered a job. I was extatic as my chosen career and experience is in a simular field. A week later my contract turned up through the post and a date for training was given. I had to go down to the Link Hotel (holding all the interviews at) and get my birth certificate and photo I’D copied. After completing this I was kindly given instructions to turn up on a specific date and time for training and that was that. Couldn’t fault the Managers or Cineworld system as it was sufficient and ran like clockwork.

Now 3 days after all this I had to go into hospital for a few check ups and an operation on my eye. I spent just under 2 weeks in hospital and had appointments every other day. I managed to get out nd make a speedy recovery and motivated as I was excited about my new job training. Turned up 20mins early dressed smartly and eager to start only to be informed by a senior member that I couldn’t do the training and my contract had been terminated due to them saying they couldn’t find out if I am eligible to work in the UK (I was born in Leicester and lived here 25 years. I was adopted at age 4 and I have no original birth certificate only a signed adoption one from London Magistrates Court) I was told abruptly that I couldn’t take part in training and was rudely cast aside with a response of ‘We did email you last week’. I had been in hospital for an operation and in recovery for a long period of time with no access to my emails. No phone call or letter through the post explaining anything why I had been terminated.

I had given in my notice at my old job, and had no way of returning as my position and hours had been filled. I didn’t even have a back up as I had a fixed signed contract with Cineworld. I have been left jobless with a family to provide for. I have had to sell my Car nd take out my savings just to cover rent and bills to keep a roof over my family’s head

I have sent email after email to try and resolve this issue with nothing but an automated email saying someone will be in contact shortly. It’s been 3 weeks and nothing. I didn’t want to tarnish the Cineworld Name but I have no choice now. I am now taking this to higher authority to get this resolved and get some compensation for my losses.

I am totally outraged at the lack of training staff in the Renfrew st, Glasgow complex have. It is under refurbishment so some floors are closed. My husband and I bought 2 tickets to see Star Trek , bought drinks and hotdogs and proceeded to find our seats after requesting an accessible seat as I have mobility problems. During the trailers there was a total black out, no emergency lighting, just darkness. After a period of time, a young man appeared at the front of the screen with a torch to inform us there was a power cut in the building, could we stay seated, they would keep us informed. Then disappeared from the auditorium.
The fire alarm then went off. Still in total darkness, people started to use mobile phones as lights.
A young lady then appeared in front of the screen and told everybody to follow her to the emergency exit. Still no emergency lighting or staff with torches to assist anybody. Being on the 4 th floor, people proceeded to use the lighting from phones to navigate themselves down the cinema stairs and to the emergency exit. Still no lights. Still no staff with torches to assist anybody. We left our drinks and food as I am on sticks and my husband was attempting to download a flashlight app to his phone so he could help me down the emergency stairs, supporting me down from the 4th floor in a darkened, crowded stairwell with no emergency lighting.

Staff had no idea what to communicate to customers or what procedures to take in the event of an emergency evacuation.

After standing on the street for 30 mins we heard the cinema was closed and to ring customer services for a refund.

Apart from the health and safety nightmare this was for everybody, the lack of communication and knowledge between the staff was staggering.

We will in future be going to the vue, at least the customer service and knowledge is superior.

We have just visited Resort world cinema which is lovely but we were so cold in the cinema due to the airconditioning being much too high. This is a problem with all your cinemas and is extremly unpleasant .Air conditioning is for vey hot countries ie Florida or when the uk temperatures are at 30 degrees then it is vey welcome. We came out of the cinema quite poorly due to the extreme cold. Please inform your staff to be aware of the airconditioning level so we can have a pleasant experience.

I went to watch fantastic beasts and where to find them at south side Wandsworth I took my granddaughter and purchased two tickets for the 5 10 showing on Saturday 19november16i asked I was told that only two front row seats were avaliabe together and there were only about eight seats singly left which were left which would have been not for me as my granddaughter is only 10 when we took our seats and there wer so many seats all round in different rows behind us and to the side off us and in nearly all the rows behind us as you will know it’s a very loud film and we would have much enjoyed the film further back I asked twice and was told no seats which clearly there were even if people were no shows there were still more seat empty even directly behind us ! So our night out wasn’t that enjoyable these tickets were purchased prior to the show could you look into this as there were seats so why wasn’t we offered them instead had to look up and didn’t enjoy the special effects
