    Dell System Detect ERROR MESSAGE:
    > We are unable to recognize the service tag detected through our scan.
    > Please rerun the scan or contact the technical support for further assistance.

    This has happened repeatedly.

    I have obtained my Service Tag via F2 on booting up.
    My Dell OPTIPLEX 330:

    Service Tag: EPC024K
    Express Service Code: 32006765252

    I need to run Dell System Detect because my computer is running very slowly/hangs (in Firefox) and I have no sound from my speakers.

    I have tried numerous online resources in attempting to fix these problems, but to no avail. None of my System Restore points can successfully restore; I have tried uninstall/re-install Sound Hardware via Device Manager; and now Dell System Detect keeps giving me the same Error Message.

    Your help would be greatly appreciated.

    Dear Dell,
    At 12 am precisely I tried to buy the Dell 15 300 8Gb RAM, 1TB HDD Black Friday offer for my soon the go to Uni. daughter. Attempting to add it to basket produced an ‘optional’ extras page of extras we don’t require so selected the basic included buttons but when I tried to move forward to complete the purchase, the page just cycled until throwing up an ‘We have encountered a problem’ error. Repeated attempts to buy produced exactly the same results.
    I realise these offers are limited and designed to attract visitors but it seemed to me impossible to buy at the price quoted unless you added expensive, and unnecessary ‘options’ which is pretty poor, not to mmention misleading.
    Sadly I now have a disappointed daughter and much lower opinion of a company who started out to take on and beat the then ‘big boys’ but seems now to have joined them – shame, as I have owned three Dell computers over the years which gave good service until my last, a Windows Vista 17” laptop finally expired’
    Have been trying to speak to a real person at Dell for hours now to complain about what seems to me to be pretty sharp practice but have only been passed from one dept. to another whose focus is on repairing a computer I don’t have or selling me a computer. Nice folk but no help to me at present. Have completed your feedback form, including my contact details, but figured that unlikely to be read.
    I would appreciate a response from a real person if possible.

    new alienwareaw17r3 installation set-up .how do i get the @,,,,what key to use to go between upper and lower case symbols,,,no matter what key i press ,,i get 2.. i thankyou for your help
