      the laptop is 6 years old, if it started smoking the thermal paste on the CPU and even GPU if you had one has stopped functioning

    I have a Dell Inspiron 660 purchased 03/02/2013 customer 12533413 . When I sign in ,a Black Screen Appears with a white cursor arrow , I can not get any further. With my order a Desktop computer, came a disk Drivers and Utilities… On the disk it says ,Use this disk to reinstall the software already installed on your computer. Will it be OK to run the disk ? And will it solve the problem of the black screen and white arrow allowing me to log on to the internet . Kind regards Brian Pope .

    I really wanted to buy a Dell XPS 13 laptop,I had read good reviews and I have bought from Dell twice before,in store I was advised to choose something different because of major problems with overheating,3 out of 4 display models had overheated and the one on display was sat on a cooling mat amazing that you have not addressed this,I will not be buying

    Good Evening ,

    As you are aware you telephoned me this morning (despite I requested you made no further contact) and advised me 256GB Solid State Drives were out of stock and offered to upgrade it to a 500 GB drive which I assumed to also be a Solid State Drive. Upon checking your quotation it appears you have downgraded it to a 500GB non Solid State Drive.

    You advised me last Monday that a SSD drive was the far better of the 2.

    I would therefore ask if I am correct in my assumption that you have downgraded the drive from a SSD to an HDD. If my assumption is correct I shall not be proceeding with my order as I simply cannot proceed with a Company that appears to be less than honest.

    Also you stated the problems are due to my busy schedule which is simply untrue for the following reasons:

    (1) After your performance last Monday I made it very clear I was unhappy that you tried to force me into buying a system which did not included a Monitor.

    (2) The situation got worse later in the week when you downgraded the specification without telling me.

    (3) Evenings are better for me and as your Company is open to 8pm I should be able to discuss my requirements during the evening period. Just because you finish at 5pm does not mean that I cannot have my preferred option.

    You will please address the issues raised in writing and not by telephone. I expect my wishes to be respected in this respect.
