    Dear Sir/Madam,

    I am frequent customer to IKEA and a great fancy of their quality and service.

    Since almost 1 year, me and my wife bought a 2 seat sofa and 1 lay down piece. Both white leather, and they were delivered on the same date, fixed on the same position and attached together on the same place by IKEA installer.

    Since I bought theses sofas, I noticed that the 2 seats white color leather has been/still changing in color to orange/beige color.

    Apparently, the problem lies in having the 2 seats leather absorbing the surrounding wall paint color and/ or warm light color. While the 1 lay down piece leather is not absorbing and surrounding colors, and that is how it should be as per IKEA quality standards and any customer’s expectations.

    Yesterday 12/9 /2015, IKEA Kuwait has refused to do anything to my compliant, claiming that having such change in color dose not constitute a damage to my sofas!

    I am surprised from IKEA Kuwait negligent and unacceptable action towards their obligation to IKEA customers. I explained to them the defect in the leather itself which is a factory problem and a series solution need to be taken to maintain IKEA reputation (Every time a visitors come to our home, we got criticized for our sofa’s colors, and when I inform my guests that these sofas are from IKEA, they got surprised and blame me for accepting to keep patient with such embarrassing sofas!).

    Please do assist me in having IKEA Kuwait to react professionally and responsibly towards my problem and to safeguard IKEA reputation for having the best quality standards and Customer satisfaction.

    Dear Sir.
    I do hope I have the right department to address an issue that I have we Ikea. Its not a complaint just an observation.
    I have many pieces of Ikea furniture that sit very well in my home.
    However there is one piece of furniture that I really love and need in my home to make it a beautiful comfortable space, but can not buy it it any uk Ikea stores. They sell this particular item in Ireland and Italy. I have made contact with them but they say the item can not be shipped, that I would have to visit these countries and buy them which seems a bit far fetched.
    So my question is how can i get this very needed item without have to travel a 1000 miles to get it?

    We were told that our gift card would be in the email 3 weeks ago and still nothing. My wife and I came into the Orlando store in the beginning of November to pick up over $1000 worth of merchandise to finish our remodel of one of our rooms. When we got home one item had a huge gash on the top of the table and another item was totally the wrong color then what we told the guy to load.

    As you can imagine this has been very frustrating with having to not hear from anyone and having been told we would receive our $100 gift card and then nothing. We have called numerous times to sit on hold and the customer service experience is just awful. If this is the way we are to be treated as customers then I will have to say that my wife and I, along with some family and friends will not return. It is just unacceptable this whole experience.

    If you would like to contact me about this I will personally take time out of my day and stop what I am doing to talk to you about getting this corrected. I am sure this is all a big misunderstanding. I will leave my number below and whether I am at work or spending time with my family I will do my best to take our call.

    I’m member in IKEA sense 1993 , Most of my home furniture from Ikea Saudi Arabia , But today I’m disappointed from Ikea Egypt
    1- Items with bad quality ( Mattress ).
    2- After sales services and reactions.
    I Decided to stop buying any items from any locations in KSA Or Egypt till I solved my big problem and to refund my money .
    And I’ll start to do bad feedback about your items and services

    Hi, In December we bought our Christmas Tree from you and were delighted with the offer that gave us a voucher to spend £20 in store at a later date. Last night we visited one of your stores and bought a rug, four cushion covers and two cushions. Unfortunately the colour of rug did not work with the room we had bought it for. Tonight we returned to the store and asked to exchange it for a more suitable colour, same rug, same price just different colour. We were told that we could not exchange it and that we would be given a refund to go and buy the other rug. This would have been fine but we were told that we could only have the price of the rug minus the discount that had been taken off to honour the voucher. This would have meant that we would have been given £21 refund and have to pay another £14 ( the full price of the rug being £35 ) just because we wanted a different colour. We came away from the store with a refund of £21 and did not buy another rug. This now means that you have only honoured £6 of the £20 that you pledged to give us to spend in store if we bought our Christmas Tree from you. We think that your policy is totally unfair and request vouchers to the value of £14, thereby honouring your pledge to give us £20 to spend in store if we bought our Christmas Tree from you. We really cannot understand why an exchange could not have been made. It made for a very unpleasant time in Returns with your staff adamant that they were only following your policy and embarrassing us by implying that we were trying to get a refund for the full amount of the rug. We did not want a refund we wanted to exchange one coloured rug for another. It was also embarrassing for my husband who was accused of shouting. Yes he was annoyed because the member of staff could not see his point that we didn’t want a refund and yes his voice is raised as he has a hearing impediment.The member of staff also made a point of saying that we got a Christmas Tree for £5, which we did not. We got a Christmas Tree for £25 and in return we have received £6 in discount on items we have bought from you since. Very disappointed indeed. I look forward to your reply. Regards Julie Jones

    I am currently experiencing the worst service I can remember from IKEA, no person cares, I am just the poor customer who has paid his money and now I am left frustrated and exhausted, as at the time I write this note, I am still waiting for replacement items that were promised today and have still not turned up. All I get from customer service is, your delivery is out for today, they have uplifted the wrong items but was told that for delivery it is another driver, Parcel Force just tell me that it is in their hub location, what good is that. Considering the thousands of pounds myself and family have spent with IKEA over the years this is certainly leaving me with doubt if I will ever use IKEA ever again, maybe just maybe SOMEONE who cares could get in contact with me to address my case, the case number is: 12996319

    Charlie is a little 9 year old boy from Morley who sadly on the 2nd of December 2015 was diagnosed with a High Grade B Cell Lymphoma, cancer of his white blood cells, and has spent everyday in hospital since.

    He is a local little boy who is in my daughters class at school.

    I personally am organising a fundraiser, which will include a raffle and I am currently looking for raffle prizes which I can use to help raise funds for the ‘Cheer for Charlie’ appeal.

    The person behind the campaign, Natalie Scully is running the Liverpool half marathon in May to raise funds and the gofundme has already raised over £700.

All donations will be acknowledged and an email will be sent after the event providing information of how much we raised and an acknowledgement from ourselfs and Charlie’s family.     I have to complain about your customer call centre on its lack of staff and response times to incoming calls Today 01/03/2016 I attempted to contact your customer service department to report a faulty freezer which is still in warranty until July of this year at the rate of response and after 3 aborted telephone calls (the duration of these wasted calls in time and money approx 1 1/2 hrs .)     In the big scheeme of things…and all the drama facing us re EU decisions, this may seem to you a daft request – but here goes! I have a cheap (BUT EXCELLENT ) sewing maching that I got from Ikea. It’s fab for all the things I wish to do but recently I became interested in ‘free -motion’ embroidery and for that you have to ‘drop the dogs’. It won’t allow me to do it so I suppose I need a plate to cover them. As it’s not a brand of machine that everyone knows I don’t know what to do. Rang the Ikea people and they are no help. IS THERE HELP OUT THERE???

    Dear IKEA, I am British but live in Bodrum, turkey and due to a house fire in my brand newly built house that killed two of my cats am currently trying to re make a kitchen for myself. Due to the fire money is short and I have been buying cabinets from yourself and making it myself. I am writing to complain about the standard of service at th statite office in Bodrum. I ordered and clearly stated I wanted two cabinets the other day and a corner unit, instead I got 4 cabinets and a corner unit. As I was building them I though one of the extra units was part of the corner cupboard so built in and I have accepted my mistake and have made use of the extra cupboard. I did, however, return the 4th unit and explained to the staff of their mistake. The man helped me re order some missing parts for the extra cupboards and some extra bits i needed and I went back to the service desk and returned the extra unit. I again Collected the extra items I needed yesterday and on sorting them out today have found he’s re ordered the exact same item I had told him I was returning so I’ve now got an extra unit AGAIN !! He’s also ordered the wrong hinges for the doors and I’m missing a set of hinges totally. I’ve attempted to make my complains locally but they seem to be falling onto deaf ears and i would appreciate this be passed to the correct department to look into. I’ve now been without a kitchen for over 4 months and would like to get some normality back I my life. Due to the fire I have very little funds which are currently being unnecessaryily wasted on trips back and forth to IKEA and for refunds onto my British credit card. I am already having to wait a further 2 months for deep drawers and skirting boards to finish the kitchen as the main branch in Izmir doesn’t have any and they aren’t allowed to order any items from Istanbul. Any assistance in getting this matter brought to someone’s attention and help on sorting out the problems would be much appreciated. Kind regards

    Its with a sad heart that I am making this complaint. I have shopped at your store since it opened many many years ago and have taken pleasure in the whole experience of Ikea.

    I was at the till waiting to be served when i started to come out in hives and felt most unwell. By the time i had exited the store my bottom lip had swollen so much i thought it was going to burst.

    I could not breath and started to choke, i tried to ask the cashier assistant to help me but she just sat there and did not offer any help? I was gasping for help.

    I ran over to the water counter and stood at the till where they serve hot dogs, i had to push into the queue to offer money for the water i desperately needed to drink to stop my choking. But again no help from the lady serving.

    I managed to get some water and eventually left the store. I then obtained antihistamines.

    The cause of this anaphylactic shock was because of the smell near the till- it was overwhelming with some kind scented candle smells. It was just over powering the person behind me was also complaining of the smell.

    I feel very let down when clearly i needed help from two customer service tills and could not get it. And the fact this happened in the first place.

    I would of expected A first aider to be called and this did not happen.

    The customer service manager.Dear Sir/Madam,last Saturday we went to Milton Keynes branch,purchased items went to checkout,my husband (73)noticed we had been charged for ,tables,my daughter,there to set up her son for university,asked the checkout lady,what tables,as we hadn’t purchased any,the checkout lady said,”Jesus Christ can’t you see,it’s there,there” my daughter answered,”we thought there had been a mistake”the lady said “are you accusing me of lying “my daughter said “No we’re not,and please don’t use blasphemy ” they then asked to speak to a manager,when he eventually arrived,he apologized,and said he would deal with it…we’ve heard nothing !.Any other religion would have taken this use of Their Lords name as a racist remark,as Christians are we supposed to just accept blasphemy as everyday use?We were going to purchase 2 sofas for ou retirement home,we will shop elsewhere.We would like a written apology,and a promise this foul language,and treatment of aged customers stopped please.I await your reply.Mrs J.Carter

    For several years I have had one of your bedside lamps – which has been well worth the money and great value – however, it recently started to flicker and went out —- the AC adaptor is model number ABN542242 — the lamp number being TYP B0301 K0rsby – Ikea 17999. Whilst I realise it is an old lamp I would like it to work again —— could you please let me know if you have a repair unit that could look at it or recommend someone who could take a look.

    My delivery was due yesterday which did not turn up with No call to explain why I am currently still trying to call you with No success i am appalled/ Disgusted that you are allowed to charge delivery then not delivery goods nor contact customers to advise as to why.     The furniture made by you is excellent. Hats off to the quantity. The instruction booklet is nicely planned, so that, even a lay man can assemble it.

    We recently purchased 2 beds model Malam. The cross sliding strips #117228 are having holes instead of tapped holes as we find it extremely difficult to fix the provided screws #117337. Firstly we thought it was wrong supply, so we requested to supply the proper items. And we were supplied the same items again.

    My suggestion to you is, to supply M 3.5 x 16 mm long machined screws with nuts. The assembly will be simple. Just check.

    I am sorry, but your service and particularly telephone facility is a total waste of time and as for the message “the call may be monitored for training …” .

    Having to listen to Abba for minute after minute because there is obviously no one at the end of the phone is frustrating to say the least.
