    Hi I’m providing a free Christmas dinner to local elderly people on Christmas eve.
    Would lakeland consider donating some of your foil trays with lids for us to put the meals in?I know this is a big ask but this would be a great help to our cause.

    I am writing to you as a regular customer of Lakeland to complain about a situation that occurred this Saturday 9th September in the Taunton store.
    I was looking at a soup maker when I heard a lady shout and swear as she fell over at the front of the store. She had slipped on the tiled floor as she had entered the shop and her foot had gone under the metal shelving and knocked the bottom shelf off.
    I immediately ran over to help her. She was very embarrassed and a little reluctant for assistance as she said she felt really humiliated. I made her sit on the floor for a short time before I assisted her, with the help from her husband, up from the floor. No one from the store had come to help. The assistants continued to serve customers. The lady said she was okay but her foot hurt and she was more concerned she had broken her painted toenails.

    I decided however that we all say we are okay in embarrassing situations and someone from the shop should be informed. So I interrupted a cashier and said somebody should come and see this lady as she had fallen at the front of the shop. ( I really can’t understand how they didn’t see what was going on )

    Anyway just as this conversation was happening a young lady said I am just coming to see what is happening. So I explained what had happened and what I had done and she went to speak to the lady who had fallen. The lady dismissed her by saying she was okay and so the shop assistant just walked away without asking how it had happened or pursuing the issue.
    I went over to the shop assistant and asked what had happened and she just said oh she said she is okay.
    I couldn’t believe the reaction and felt quite upset and irritated by the lack of concern and customer service shown. It seems as though everyone was more interested in serving than helping.

    Before I left the shop the lady who had fallen came and found me and thanked me. But I got home and was still angry by the way the whole situation had been handled.
    I have just spoken to my sister on the phone and she couldn’t believe it either. Both of us have always thought of Lakeland as being very hot on their customer care.

    Anyway I now feel better I have told you and hope that you revise your customer service and health and safety procedures within the store at Taunton.

    I bought my daughter at Christmas your porridge cup knowing she has it for breakfast. This has proved a really bad buy, it just boils over using the measurements in the cup. I have just been given it to see what I think I put oats in lower than small and filled to just below the small liquid measure but it still went all over microwave. As I know you test your products what can we be doing wrong.
