We have contacted you to let you know of our disappointment with one of your products .
    On 05/08/13 we purchased a samsung 40 ” tv ( UE4OF6200 )
At the curry`s store in bromborough wirral .
Yesterday we noticed that the back light in the bottom half of the screen is broken.
Unfortunately for us we had not purchased the extra insurance , but we are rather disappointed that a product of this standard that we paid £569 for only lasted 18 months , (also we spent a lot of time researching the best product for us.) We have contacted companies about repair and been informed that it would cost more to repair than to buy a new TV.
So much to our dismay we have had to go with this information and purchase a new TV .
On our recommendation my son purchased the 3D model of this same tv we do hope he does not have the same problem as we have as this would be upsetting for all of us .We feel very disappointed with this out come .
    Regards
    Mr and Mrs parry
we have also sent this email to CEO a griffiths

As your are aware I have been in contact with Sony Technical for the past four weeks regarding my 3 month old Faulty Sony KDL-40W705C.
From the start I was given the impression Sony would replace my faulty tv with a new one.
Now I have discovered Sony were to replace my tv with another one that had been returned faulty by someone else and repaired.
I contacted Sony Support last week to reject this offer.
The Retailer whom I purchased the TV from Co-op Electrical is willing to replace my faulty TV with a new one. In order to do this they require an uplift number for my faulty one from Sony. As I said previously my tv is as new, it will be returned boxed, with all accessories all also as new.

The Co-op Electrical has gone out of their way by doing all they can to keep me as a customer happy. Please issue them the required uplift number so I can say the same about Sony.
Last year I also purchased 2 Sony TV’s for my sons property and I also have a 7 year old Sony lcd tv in the family room at home and these have all worked flawlessly.
    Regards,
    Brian Milne.
