    I am the network lead for oPEn – an independent network of Primary Schools in Stoke-on-Trent. Our focus is to improve the PE and Sport experiences of Primary aged children in the City, making them more active and healthy. The child health profiles for Stoke are well below the national average as are the figures for attainment and large areas of the City have high levels of social deprivation. Childhood obesity is also on the increase with 24% of children aged 11 currently being considered to be obese. Interventions have to be put in place to reverse these trends. I read an article about research in America where a school had used desk cycles to improve focus and attainment – although no reference to weight loss was mentioned. I would very much like to conduct a small pilot study in one of my schools to measure the impact that the use of desk cycles may or may not have on increased levels of attainment and levels of fitness and weight management. Essentially I am writing to enquire whether you would consider sponsoring our study by supplying 10 Confidence Sit Down Mini Cycles so that we can conduct our study (ideally the pilot will run from January until the SATs in May). If the study supports the use of desk cycles then I would think a number of schools would be interested in purchasing units for their schools (there are over 70 primary schools in the City). Personally I have a background in exercise physiology and have a Sports Science degree from Loughborough University so have the ability to conduct the research. In addition I have secured help from academics at Manchester Metropolitan University to ensure the test protocol will provide valid and reliable results. I have links with the Local Authority Health Improvement Team and I think they would be very interested in the results of this pilot and may be willing to fund future use if successful.
    The network would very much appreciate any support as we are not funded externally but are a group of schools who have agreed to work in collaboration to tackle some of the health issues of the children in the City.     I have had two problems with Tesco the first was a form of wrong judgement although I was annoyed but I let go. well I feel the whole issue would have been averted if some particular staff members could have valued their customers above their pay or promotion well it turns out that I noticed few staff members don’t cuz they cannot apologize when wrong that is terrible customer service and the implications are going to give a bad name to Tesco in the long run so its best if line managers get good training

    My name is Brenda and I went with my husband today 30/10/2016 to the petrol filling station at ellesmere shopping centre walkden Manchester I cannot believe how rude the cashier was was her name is Claire my husband had put diesel in his van with his company card and has to give his mileage and reg no.
    When my husband went to pay Claire said reg mileage took his card no please no thank you and didn’t even bother to stop the conversation she was having with her colleague in my eyes I find that very rude maybe Claire might benefit from a course in customer service .
    We shop at Tesco most weeks and we have two vehicles and also use Tesco for our fuel.
    I’m very sorry to have to report this issue but if people don’t maybe Claire will think it’s fine to talk at people not to them .

    Dear Sir or Madame.
    I am writing to you to complain about the poor service from one of your
    Customer care team. I phoned your customer care line number and spoke to a gentleman called Jaz on the 26th December at around 15.50 hrs , I told him that I picked up one of the large shopping trolleys, which was lying around on a pavement and put it in !y front court. First of all when speaking to Jaz, he could not understand me, I had to repeat myself several time and he kept me waiting for some times on a few occasions, and when I did get over my conversation with him, he told me that someone from tesco would collect the trolley within 48 hrs.
    48 hrs came and went and I still had the trolley.
    I then asked my daughter ( while she was shopping in tesco to asked at the customers service desk, to collect the trolley) date 29th DEC..
    Nobody came, so I went into the store and asked again and they had no car to collect it and that it would be next day. The staff in Barrow tesco were very pleasant ( Nicola). They did collect the trolley on the 30th Dec.

    This is not the first time that I have picked up an abandoned trolley as I knowhow expensive they are.
    My complaint is the very poor service from Jaz. This is not how customer care team should be.

    I have just visited my local,and frequently used Super Store in Guildford and was appalled by the state of
    the Gents conveniences,both of the urinals were full of urine with just a sign indicating ‘’wet floor’’ and one
    of the two stalls was not lockable as the bolt is situated some 3-4 inches below the latch,in addition to this
    only one of the taps on the two wash basins was operational.
    At the time of leaving the store all the above faults were still as they were when I entered the store.
    There being only one person on the Customer Service Desk,who was busy and as I was pushed for time
    I had to leave without speaking to a member of staff hence this e-mail.
    With the toilets in the condition they were I feel they should have been closed until the problems were
    resolved .

    This morning around 8 a.m. before I went to work. I visited your Glastonbury Store in Somerset.I purchased a bottle of wine. There was one of your staff member stood around doing nothing. Talking to the girl at the till.I could not believe what she said to me. “Having some wine before you go to work”.I made it clear to her that I was not happy with her comments to me.     Today a accident happened at work two black male came into the store around 14:15 they were arguing with each other for half hour. There was no security guards on the door. One of the man stabbed the other man this happened around Tesco by customer service desk I would like to take this opportunity to thank bravely . Samir Who is the first-aid and the girl on customer service Rukshana calling out for a doctor nurses in the store to help the person who got stabbed over the tannoy I believe they deserves a bravery wards. This is very shocking it’s a multi billionaire company and for them not to have security guards at the door it’s such a shame for the company

      I am a customer today for the first time I’ve experienced a horrible situation at Tesco West Cornwall Road two black male were arguing in the store for half an hour. There was no security guard to stop them, than I went to customer service to ask the girl to call a manager, then one of the man got stabbed the other man within few minutes all the managers came around. no one was willing to help they were too busy on the phone than the girl on customer service put a callout for the doctors nurse over the tannoy which is a very bravery, calling for first-aid but the managers were hovering around busy on the phone I believe it was shocking for the girl in customer service and for many other staff who are very helpful. Very shame about the management in store.

    My name is LEONIE GRAHAM. I would like to know, whether it is possible for your company/organisation to make a financial contribution, to help support a National Christian organisation, known as PREMER LIFELINE?

    There are several reasons why I am making this request, on behalf of Premier Lifeline;
    Premier Lifeline are making an urgent APPEAL. This is because:
    • Over the past few months, Premier lifeline service have been Inundated with calls
    • They have had an increase of over 40%
    • But they do NOT have enough workers to man all the calls
    • People have stated how despite their service is

    The money will be used to:
    • Train at least 250 volunteers
    • Purchase the up to date the appropriate IT equipment

    Premier lifeline:
    • It provides an incredible service
    • It is a non-profit making organisation
    • It offers no-judgmental, confidential advice/service
    • It deals with both religious or non-religious service
    • But It depends highly on DONATIONS
    • It helps those who are struggling and find it hard to cope in life; be it bereavement, those contemplating on taking their own lives
    • Relationship issues and as you could imagine, the list goes on.
    • Just, knowing that they are just a phone call away and are available day and night, is just wonderful.

    So, would it be possible for your organisation/company to contribute financially towards this amazing and valuable service? It helps to save lives.
    In fact, in the past, I have been at the end of their line, when I was in despair. They listened to me and I requested spiritual support.

    I and others have found their services to be of being next to non and of great comfort.

    Could you please consider and open your hearts to this brilliant service!!?

    Hi there,

    I have been in contact with Tesco head office and a manager in the Tesco Extra Bellshill store regarding the 2 designated motorbike parking spaces. The sign was broken and never replaced and then they decided to use the only 2 allocated bike parking spaces as the recycle point. There is a sign posted recycle point allocated further along. I have spoke to head office and the manger of the store all beginning 4 months ago and yet the spaces are still occupied with the recycle bins. I feel let down after being told by the manger (Graham) I think…that he would contact the recycle company and have the containers moved to the correct destination and also said he would have the signpost corrected. The post was lying behind the recycle containers on the grass.
    Please reply to my email or you can give me a call anytime.
    I don’t have any issues parking when in my 4×4 but unfortunately have to give the store a miss if I’m on my sports bike.
    This issue is something that a lot of bike enthusiasts are complaining about on the page.

    i am so angry .tesco has been so unprofessional rule breaking and damn right wrong ..i sent my partner down to tesco express corby the big one on sat night with my daughter and her friend both 15 yrs old .so i have told them what i wonted and off they went it was late at about 1150 so shop was nearly closing my partner went off to get the ice while my daughter and her friend went picked up the drink and met my partner back at the check out when he went to pay at the self service till a shop assistant came over and said she was really sorry but she has been forced to ask the girls for id even though my partner was buying it .my partner then got to find out that it wasnt a manager of store or anyone upstairs makingt the decsion it was infact a security guard .now if a mum with kids is shopping and buys wine but her kids have handed it or put ut in the trolley then would they be refused because there kids touched the bottles so its fiscrimentary to my partner as some security guard deems him unfit as a parent .this really isnt right and i want something done immediatley

    Dear Tesco
    I am writing to advise you of the disgusting, vile behaviour of your security guard at the Victoria Street, Bristol, Tesco Express on at 12 midday on the 30th August.
    I was walking with my lunch past your store when I heard the most awful, guttural hawking noise. I turned round to see your guard bringing up phlegm at the base of a tree outside your shop!! There were about 20 people in the area all carrying food/lunch. I am not sure if they ate theirs!!!! I definitely didn’t eat mine.
    When commented on by a number of disgusted people a passer by said, not the first time he’s done it today.
    Can he not use a tissue? If he must do it can it be somewhere discreet not in front of food shops!!!! The noise was like a very very large cat coughing up a furball!
    Come on Tesco, cleanliness! Hygiene! If he does that in front of customers what does he do behind the scene!!!

    This email is to make a formal complaint.
    On Saturday 2nd September I visited my local Tesco store in Wath Upon Dearne ,Rotherham, S63. while doing my shopping I visited the bakery section, to purchase a singular lemon and poppy seed muffin. There were none on the shelf so asked a member of staff that was working in the bakery if they had any in stock. I was quite rudely advised that they had none in stock and had not sold them for months, I advised I had purchased them only a couple of weeks prior, but again was told abuptly that was not the case as not stocked them in months.
    I was not happy with the attitude but decided to walk away, when doing so I could quite clearly over heard the same assistant talking to another member of staff discussing our conversation saying “I had been talking rubbish, she knew exactly what was on the shelves and no way had I purchased the muffins here within the last couple of weeks. I hate it when they think they know better than me”
    After relaying my anger over this incident to the cashier, she advised me to go and tell the staff on customer services, which I did and after taking down a brief description of event and my details was assured that the manager of the bakery department would contact me regarding this matter.
    No contact has to this date been made and therefore have felt I had no alternative but to send this email.
    I feel that the attitude of all involved is not acceptable and as a regular customer I would expect a higher level of service.
