living in the US how can we find out information about the heathrow central hotel?

  • Liz Bracken November 20, 2015, 10:39 pm

I am desiring to book a room for two at your London Covent Garden Travelodge Hotel, December 28 to 31, 2015. I like the Flexible Rate with Breakfast. My questions are three-fold:

    1. Do you have accommodations for twin beds, rather than a king-size bed?

    2. Do you charge my credit card upon booking the reservation for the 3 nights?

    3. Is the entire charge for the 3 nights refundable if I must cancel up until noon on December 28?

Your Travelodge Hotels were highly recommended by friends who traveled throughout the U.K. recently.

I look forward to your responses.

    Thank you,
    Elizabeth Bracken

    Dear Sir/Madam

    Bath Waterside: Booking No 1397531572

We stayed at Bath Waterside for 4 nights from 29 October-2 November in Room 128. We have completed the survey on line, but there was insufficient space to explain clearly the problems we experienced, hence this letter: you do not appear to have an email address for this.

The twin beds were very comfortable, but the pillows were extremely uncomfortable. There was no hairdryer in the room, and no indication that these were to be obtained from Reception. When we happened to mention this at Reception, we were told they were all in use the first night. The Receptionist reserved one for us for the rest of our stay and said it would be placed in our room. We confirmed this the next morning, but when we arrived back that night there was no hairdryer in our room as promised. Premier Inn provide these in all rooms.

The standard of bedmaking appeared very sloppy, inadequately sized single sheets not properly tucked in, resulting in us having to remake the bed on several occasions. One night we found our night clothes just dumped on the bedside table instead of being placed under the duvet. Possibly the housekeeping staff aim to work less than a full shift.

The carpet by the entrance door was badly stained: this looked suspiciously like vomit which had been cleaned up previously. Also one of the cupboard doors appeared to have been kicked in and damaged, no doubt the work of inebriated rugby supporters or wedding parties.

The bedroom corridors and both lifts throughout Saturday and through to Monday morning were uncleaned, with the lifts in particular filthy. We suspect someone is paid to clean or vacuum these daily and does not do it. Also the most peculiar furniture in the foyer & public areas looked tired and unwelcoming.

The breakfast was satisfactory, although many items of cutlery were stained and did not look properly washed up.

You will no doubt ask if we reported these items to Reception. We did this as mentioned with the hairdryer without result. Most times we passed Reception there was no one there. When we departed the receptionist was busy with other guests.

In short we did not consider our stay value for money. Even with our REPTA discount it was a total of £423.65, over £100 per night.

Can we suggest someone in authority needs to spend a long weekend at Waterside incognito, as we certainly do not consider it “Travelogical” to stay in one of your establishments again.

We look forward to your comments.

    Yours faithfully

Further to my email dated 11th Jan I have not heard back from you I wrote to you regarding my partners stay in Maidstone on the 9th Jan he paid 60 for the room and when he returned to his room at around 130 with myself we heard a lot of noise next door .Security were knocking on the door and told us that a guy had smashed the whole room up after arguing with his girl friend. In the morning my partner was woken at 830 by the police wanting a statement as we were in the next room .We were offered by the hotel a free breakfast but do feel a full refund should be given the room was booked under the name of Kirk Osborn
    Hope to hear shortly

    Subject: Complaints

I was asked to contact customer care through your website only to be refused as my email address was invalid !  I stayed at your Hickstead hotel on 9th March and was booked in by Chloe who was very helpful, friendly and efficient. However next morning when I wanted to take a shower in my disabled room I found the bath too high to get my leg over. I complained at reception but really received no satisfactory response despite the manager sitting at his computer behind the receptionist.

We have been travelodge customers for many years but if this is the new revamped hotel it is no use to disabled people who have poor leg metabolite.  We stayed in a Premier

Inn in Bolton the previous week and the bath was lower and we had no problems

    Booking reference 1413567189
    To the Complaints Dept.
Today 22/7/16 I tried to add an extra night to the above booking only to find that I would have to pay £117 which is outrageous, when I only paid £49 originally. Because I am disabled and confined to a wheelchair, it is not always possible to find a suitable room and because of this appalling price increase we had no choice other than to find somewhere else at a much more reasonable price. Therefore, as a gesture of goodwill to someone who has stayed in many Travelodges over the years, I would appreciate it if you would cancel the booking, and, just this once refund, my card. Your cooperation would be appreciated and I will most likely be staying in a Travelodge again at some point in the future. Best regards. Keith Mallinson

I had a evening stay at Travellodge city centre Milton Keynes my mother had been very generous and paid my room with my family and my brother had a room with his family we was very excited about having a night away in a hotel my mother told me she had payed £260 for two rooms so we were expecting something pretty nice instead we got a sesspit the first thing we noticed was the pubic hair in the sink , dirty bathroom floor the beds were damp and there was a smell in the Room I could only describe as a young dirty teenagers room not what I payed for I was going to ask the desk to have a cleaner come in but I thought this was what the cleaner who passed off the room before I went into it so what’s the point of asking them back after getting ready the mood was very much down between my family before we even went out and we just wanted to go home we woke up early and left we don’t feel we got what we payed for and we would like a refund you advertise as a good night sleep that’s the best joke I ever heard

  • Parvin nehar October 3, 2016, 4:08 pm

Hi I had a booking yesterday 2nd October 2016 room 207 Travelodge London Stratford, Booking Ref 1419743197, Arr. Sun 02/10/16 for 1nt under the name parvin nehar. Around 7pm the electricity and water went all of a sudden we went down to reception they said they are sorting it out asap so we waited over an hour and nothing happened so we went down again the reception said it was going to take longer and they are not sure how long it’s going to take. I’m really upset that they didn’t inform us but just let us sit there in the dark with no water or anything and just wait, We couldn’t stay at travelodge with no water or electricity I am very disappointed by that they couldn’t provide us with an alternative so we had to find another hotel else where the reception did advice us to email to get a full refund as they could not do anything at reception.

    Kind regards,
    Parvin nehar
